My testimony doesn''t just come from life experiences or the challenges with sin; it is clearly expressed through the Word of God according to what is written in the Bible. Behind every recorded book in both the Old and New Testament you will find the evidence of your story. What is amazing about the Holy Bible is that it can tell you things about yourself and your history, if you know where to look. This book is from the intimate places within the scriptures, stories, and passages that you will find my testimony is in the text!Michael A. Thompson is currently studying to become a licensed minister at the First Baptist Church of Glenarden located in Upper Marlboro, MD. The Book of Colossians is known as one of the Prison Epistles. The authorship is attributed to the Apostle Paul and strong evidence of that in seen within the letter to the church at Colossae. Colossians is one of the shortest of Paul''s letters, yet it is one of the most exciting. Paul most likely wrote this letter while he was a prisoner in Rome in A.D. 62. Colossians is referred to as the sister Epistle of Ephesians, also a prison Epistle. The evidence of this is seen in the fact that seventy-five verses found in the letter of Colossians are found in the Ephesian letter also. The verse-by-verse exposition of Colossians and also the book of Philemon will give the serious Bible student a greater understanding of the text and theme of these books. The central theme of Colossians is none other than the person of the Lord Jesus Christ. Philemon could be seen as having many themes such as Christian courtesy, Christian brotherhood, forgiveness, the law of love, and the saving power of Jesus Christ. These two short writings of the Apostle Paul will be a great inspiration to all who seek to learn more about Christ In You, the hope of glory.
What is a useable Vessel? It is an emptied-out shell with the express purpose of being available and able to be used. Are you a useable vessel? Think so? Well, let me propose a few other questions. Are you emptied of all your junk, your intentions, your ideals, your will? Are you willing to let it not be all about you but all about God? Are you willing to be the PR person and not the star? Are you willing to do all the work to promote the star (Jesus) so that His name can go up in big lights and that He can receive all the glory? These are vital questions that you should ask and answer honestly to determine if you meet the requirements of being a useable vessel. Apostle Donyale M. Dabney is an anointed woman of God. The backbone of this book is what God asserted in his Holy Bible: My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge (Hos 4:6), and to offset this fact, the believer should read the Bible so that he/she may sincerely say: Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my way (Psa 119:105), since, The heart of the prudent gets knowledge; and the ear of the wise seeks knowledge (Pro 18:15). This book proves beyond any shadow of doubt that what scientists harangue with is 100% compatible with the words of the Almighty God.
