True story of a wee Glasgow guy who left school with no formal qualifications and had many jobs before ending up running a business in Australia and New Zealand. There are many coincidences along the way, including meeting famous people and also people from growing up - some I'd not seen or spoken to for 50 years! And also family who have a habit of dying on certain days. Set initially in Glasgow and moving around the city, encountering many strange day-to-day scenarios and events to ending up on a beach in Sydney and then on to Redland Bay in between Brisbane and the Gold Coast. Jobs at this time took me all around Australia and New Zealand with trips also to Japan and four times per year back to the UK for a week for company meetings. Birthdays in later life were special times with my 40th in Glasgow, 50th on the Gold Coast and 60th in Melbourne at the famous horse race. My disabled brother, Alexander, was my hero growing up and still is after his achievements in the world of darts. Read about his exploits and be mesmerised by where he ended up having such a short sports career. My family have been strong throughout and my friends are all wacky, but in a really funny kind of way. After retiring to Cyprus and looking forward to a life of leisure, a neighbour told me the donkey sanctuary was losing their farrier and was I interested! This was the beginning of my second career as a farrier in Cyprus that led me to some way out places, and to meeting some really interesting people. Also I was asked if I could shoe a horse which snowballed into horseshoeing the length and breadth of Cyprus and over the border into the Turkish area too. My work all came from recommendations. I did try to control my work to two or three days a week as i wanted to follow other leisure activities. Some weeks though, that plan went out of the window.One leisure activity I did get involved with was a writers group. For years I had always wanted to write a book about my life as a farrier, but it was always going to be tomorrow when I would start it. I had told God knows how many folk over the years that one day I would write a book but it certainly wasn't going to be today as I had no idea how to go about it. That changed when I met the chairman of Paphos writers group and told him about my plans to write about my farrier life, one day he said; ''Well it is no good talking about it. I hope to see you at our groups meeting at 10 o'clock tomorrow. That morning was the ''tomorrow'' that had finally come to start writing my first book; All clenched up and nearly finished.'' Now I write regularly and my second book ''All clenched up and finally finished'' is published.

After many years writing books, stories and poetry, it has gradually dawned on me that I had not come across any book that gave, not only a fine collection of poems, but also contained a useful textbook that informed the reader of the skills used by the author in composing their extensive range of well-constructed work. A la Carte, poetry from a bipolar mind. This is a debut collection of poetry, thoughtful, deep sometimes humorous I write mainly about mental health, love, and lost love. I especially like emotional dark pieces that pack a punch and somewhat old-fashioned romance! I use a pen name sometimes 'the manic poet' I also introduce the semi colon into my work, it's a mental health symbol meaning survival, i e an author could have used a full stop but decided to carry on instead. 'Gold and silver' another metaphor also make some appearances.

According to this theory the fundamental form of a particle of matter is a continuous distribution of points that forms a manifold of its own. Each of these points results from the intersection of a corresponding pair of eigen velocity vectors that generate the wave aspect of the wave-particle duality of matter. The theory evolves in three stages. The first stage develops the pair of eigen velocity vectors. These vectors are complete with their own field of a pair of symmetric and antisymmetric tensors characteristic of gravitation and electromagnetism respectively. The second stage transforms the wave aspect into its very opposite, the particle aspect, as a pair of particles that are the progenitors of proton and electron. Cyril Pustan lived an extraordinary life. He was born into an Orthodox Jewish household in London in 1929 where his father was a refugee from the pogroms in Ukraine, and his mother a London born daughter of refugees from earlier pogroms in Germany and Russia. He wrote about the blitz and evacuation. He paints a vivid picture of life during and after World War II and the deficiencies in the education system. He left school at 14 with no qualifications and became a plumber. He became politically active at 16 in the Communist Party and Trade Union movement. He participated in iconic peace events and marches of the 1950's and 1960's including the 1961 San Francisco to Moscow March for Peace where he was arrested, deported, and was present at the building of the Berlin Wall. He had tea with Mrs Khrushchev at the height of the Cold War. He married the mother of the World Chess Champion Bobby Fischer, Regina Fischer, and was one of the few British citizens who emigrated to live behind the Iron Curtain in East Germany in 1962. He may have fallen under suspicion as a spy on both sides. He found work as a master welder but was recruited to teach at the Friedrich-Schiller University in Jena to scientists and doctors to help them better understand English. He developed a technique to teach English through the use of Folk Songs. He wrote a book, produced and sang on a record, recorded stories for the visually impaired, acted in a film, and was portrayed in the 2014 film about Bobby Fischer, "Pawn Sacrifice", by Shawn Campbell. His life and death were shrouded in mystery for over 40 years until his papers and personal effects were found in a box in the loft following the death of his sister Ella in March 2021. This biography has been collated by interspersing his writings with accounts of others about him, and placing it in the context of the world in which the events he participated in took place.
