In writing Freedom in Truth: Memoirs of Deliverance and Restoration from Past Abuse and Scandal, Michaela Maria Marshall (pseudonym) shares her account of being a victim of rape and incest in her early years, also the witnessing of a murder of a friend by one of her perpetrators who was attempting to molest the murder victim''s little sister. Ms. Marshall also experienced years of physical and emotional abuse. Freedom in Truth is divided into three sections. The first section deals with Ms. Marshall''s past traumas and losses. Part Two will cover what she considers protective factors in her life. Part Three will include therapeutic letters written by Ms. Marshall but that she never mailed to offenders and victims in her past, as well as to God. Her purpose in writing Freedom in Truth: Memoirs of Deliverance and Restoration from Past Abuse and Scandal is to follow the Holy Spirit''s direction to enable the principles expressed in 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 to be lived out in her life. If by sharing what happened to her will spare other victims experiencing similar incidents from having to be further victimized by families trying to cover up similar tragedies, more concerned about family reputations than the feelings and needs of the victims involved, then her mission has been accomplished.
Thamaso Ma Jyothirgamaya is about a unique interpretation of the most commonly chanted Shanthi Manthra from the Upanishads, an ancient compendium of literary works that date back from 1000 BC to 700 BC. The chant is taken from the Vedic literature, specifically, the Brihadaranyaka Upanishad 1.3.28. It represents the spiritual cravings and the moral fabric of the soul (atman) of India, the land of peace. Author Dr. KJ Oommen takes you through a study of this beloved and much-venerated four-liner from Indian literature, which reveals the yearnings of its ancient sages for truth over untruth, light over darkness and life over death. The four lines (phrases) of the chant have reverberated in the corridors of Indian history for at least 2,700 years, as the best estimates of the origin of the Upanishads would suggest.Inside, Dr. Oommen analyzes the meaning of the mantra line by line, in the literal sense, and then interprets how and when the spiritual plea contained in this sacred chant was granted and fulfilled to the fullest extent by a most unexpected deity who came to the earth as if for the sole purpose of fulfilling it! Read more about what the manthra means from a Christian perspective, as Dr. Oommen presents his unique views in a novel and heretofore unraveled manner.

"Never man spake like this man" (re. John 7:46). The authority to speak in the name of Jesus Christ is given to them whom, by suffering association and self-denial, have taken up their cross and followed him, not straight to heaven but to Gethsemane, Pilate's Hall, and then Calvary. The cross of Jesus Christ is my cross, and it is yours. By appointment, we are given place in midnight wrestlings to win the power, and by progressive grace and truth, we are given place. This is authority to have place in Christ and to speak out of that place for Christ. Mainstream Christianity has no viable witness of Jesus Christ because they do not live for Jesus Christ; they live for themselves. Christians talk about everything but Christ. Someone has to say it, and this book without apology does just that.
