It is Sunday, August 28, 2016, two weeks before the 15th anniversary of 9/11. Events occurring during these two weeks will determine whether this anniversary day will usher in a world at peace or a world at war. A nuclear weapon obtained by al Qaeda from a Russian terrorist group is set to detonate in Oklahoma City - the Heartland of America - on September 11th. Al Qaeda believes attacking us in this manner will prove to the world they can strike at any time and in any place. They also think we will be afraid to respond for fear of being attacked again. This will surely confirm them as the undeniable leaders of Radical Islam, having the right to enforce their "kill all nonbelievers" interpretation of the Quran and God's messages to Muhammad relayed be the Archangel Gabriel. Is al Qaeda's belief reality, or abject stupidity? If the plan is successful, will it not lead to retaliation in the form of a nuclear holocaust in the Middle East, the demise of Islam, and genocide for Muslims With God's help, we will never know. Homeland Security agents attempt to intercept the weapon in Moscow, the Everglades, St. Louis, and finally, Oklahoma City. Do they succeed, or does life as we know it today, end on September 11, 2016?

"A remarkable book. The story of Hank Branson and his teammates captures what senior softball is all about." -Terry Hennessy, Chief Executive Officer Senior Softball USAHank Branson, 58, has no intention of giving in to middle age. Active, energetic, and youthful in his thinking, he does everything he can to avoid falling into the routines that signify the onset of the aging process and the inevitable winding down and settling in that occur for thousands of Americans each day. It is getting tougher for him to keep up the fight and he needs help. One day, a friend tells Hank about a senior softball organization where teams of players over 50 years of age play tournaments throughout the summer against others their age, with the best being invited to play in a world championship tournament in Las Vegas at the end of the season. Fascinated, he contacts the local team in Chicago where he lives and is invited to play. On a whim, he accepts. A Boys' Game is the story of a hastily assembled team of total strangers from all walks of life who share only the common love of playing baseball, which they did as boys, and the determination to give it one last shot, despite their ages. The team is called the Gray Sox. The book describes the summer experience of the Gray Sox playing other senior teams from Kansas City to Lansing, MI, and everywhere in between and the gradual improvement of the team, which leads to a coveted invitation to play in the world championship. It is the humorous but touching story of the lives of the men on the team, their hopes for the future, and how they deal with the issues of the present, bolstered by their rediscovery of playing the game of baseball, which had been such an important part of their past, and by being given the opportunity to play it again. It is an uplifting story of second chances. There is something in the book for everyone, no matter what their age.

The Hunter's Moon follows the Harvest Moon and plays a large part in Luisa Hunter's life. She was named after a great warrior and claimed the Hunter's Moon as her own through two marriages, but her friends and allies call her Lu, She is a descendent of Barbara Yeager, the white witch known as Baba Yaga, Like her ancestors, she is bound to protect the land, critters, and humans in her vicinity by an oath to the Creator. That gets her called Death and Destruction by the evil dark witches. Her relatives provided the mirror spell. That spell reflects any spell cast her way at the originating witch. If any dark witch sent a killing spell, they committed suicide as evidenced by the cloud of dust slowly falling to earth. It was so reliable, it remained a secret weapon for no attacking dark witches were left to report its existence. The dark witches weren't the only enemies. Lu, located near the Missouri River and south of the border with Canada, could count weather as an enemy under the wrong conditions. She'd all ready lost a husband and son to black ice on the road. But it was a sometime ally when it helped her. There were critters and humans that threatened also. Those were tricky to defeat, but she did her best. Specially when faced with the politicians though she sided with the statesmen when that rare breed came into her circle. Her definition for them is that the politician did what was popular, while the statesman did what was right even if unpopular.
