n the ten years following her abrupt entrance to motherhood at the tender age of fifteen, Amanda Kay Cruz defied the odds by receiving a high school diploma, undergraduate degree, master's degree, and doctorate degree, all while also launching a successful marriage and teaching career. She has grounded her faith in knowing the more you trust in God, the less you struggle. You probably already know that, but how do you increase your trust in God over your trust in your own abilities to make everything turn out fine? How do you learn to believe first, and then see? Although you can't drift toward holiness, you can work toward it. Now a Christ-exalting, still full-time employed wife and homeschool mom of five, Amanda Kay Cruz wrote Peace Before Increase during a waiting season the Lord gifted her after learning that the door to her career-or at least the professional path she'd long leaned on to feel secure-was gently being closed. For the first time in her adult life, Amanda has had to rely on the Lord more than her catalogue of accomplishments that she gave herself too much credit for. She has followed God's prompting to use this book to expose a simple, yet transformative, trust-building truth-that God's perfect peace can't be earned, but it can be resisted. In Peace Before Increase, Amanda exposes ten foolproof strides you can follow to stop getting in the way of the peace and miracles God has for you. And the best part? Amanda's still waiting! The ending of her career saga has yet to be revealed, making the rawness of her circumstances relatable and believable.
