This book is based on the true life story of William Bixby, which includes his friends George Harris and Albert Spang and their marriage to three related women of the Northern Cheyenne Tribe, Jessie, Sally, and Lucy. It starts with the parents of William, their homesteading to Iowa, and includes the lives of his brothers and sisters. From the 1840s to 1918, it includes wagon trains, the Mormons, the Civil War, the pioneer outposts for the Army on the frontier, the Indian massacres of Sand Creek and Washita, the cattle wars of Johnson County, Wyoming, and the settlement on the Tongue River Reservation (now the Northern Cheyenne Reservation). It starts with William's struggle to fight the Spanish Flu and turns into memories by his wife and his children. Historical information has been woven into these stories, but when that information was not available, then the best guess (fiction) was used. This book was created with a sense of spiritual guidance, and I hope it helps others understand these families and the saga of the Northern Cheyenne Tribe.

"Daughter of Laharna" provides a glimpse of family life in Laharna Hotel, Larne, which was Patricia's home for 24 years, and also details its history from 1833 - becoming the largest tour hotel in Ireland. Her father George A. Beattie was Resident Manager of Laharna Hotel, Larne from 1935 and in the Second World War, as part of essential services, looked after troop feeding at Larne Harbour and later the American Officer's Club in the former Midland Hotel, Belfast. These were formerly railway owned hotels. Laharna Hotel was the base for a 6 day tour of N Ireland and with some 200 tourist residents weekly, from April to October, shows the great extent of tourism in the Province before "The Troubles" began in 1968, lasting some 30 years. The hotel, destroyed by fire in 1999, was then demolished. This is a personal history of the Beattie family's life in the hotel, how George, born in Belfast, became an hotelier, his lifelong hobby of music as a piano accompanist and church organist. It records many events such as the Titanic launch, WW2 events in NI, the tragic sinking of the Princess Victoria in 1953, the UWC Strike in 1974 and family life in Larne.

In his latest book, The Lord's Supper: What It Is and What It's Not, David Rodriguez examines some of the claims for the Eucharist celebration, such as Administering grace, Providing eternal life,Imparting forgiveness of sins,Furnishing the presence of Christ,Repeating the sacrifice of Christ. We also explore the different traditions regarding the sacraments and, more importantly, the basis upon which these traditions are established. The author addresses these issues from the perspective that the Scriptures are the only infallible guide to Christian doctrine and that the primary source of church doctrine must be the teachings of Christ and His apostles. The reader should be prepared to have some of his or her deeply held religious teachings challenged by the word of God.

Wheelchairs, scooters, and sticks all things to do with mobility and access. My involvement in working with disability was purely by accident, and profit was my motive which you will read about in the book. However, it went much further as I could see that the more access, the better it was for everyone not just the wheelchair user. The mother with a pram or pushchair, the blind or restricted vision, and of course, the biggest emerging market of older people. So if you could show businesses they could make more money by providing access, they would get more customers and everyone would benefit.I have spent over forty-three years providing accessible transport and holidays; and to this day, find it difficult to understand some people's attitude toward disabled people, especially in business. I was the first to provide accessible coaches commercially in the UK; I remember being asked by another coach operator if we could supply a coach to accompany him on an outing to the coast, which we did. The next day, he contacted me and said that his client had rang him, and said not to send any of those disabled coaches again. I told him, it was not disabled it was accessible. Even if I had not been in this business, I would not have thought about my coach as they had.Although things are a lot better now, integration is still a long way off, as you will read throughout the book. It is up to us all to look at a much wider aspect of access, as disability or a reduced mobility all need access. You will also read that tourism is the largest business in many countries; and the more access you have in transport and accommodation, the more people you will attract, and of course the money will follow. My aim is for more integration, and I am hoping to run some British history tours later where inclusion from overseas will achieve this and be the first for the UK. People now working in the tourist industry are starting to get more aware of what is needed in transport and hotels, as well as excursion venues. All these things will in the end add up to more inclusion in all things, not just holidays.

My goal as the author of this book is to inspire the reader with poems from my heart and my inner feelings of the Most-High God. I experienced times in the world around me that had failed yet my soul was not succumbing to the failures of the world. So... I believe and have faith in God, reaching out to Most-High to restore my spirit, to move me, guide me, to direct my steps. Poetry was and is part of my outlet to bestow poems to the world in which people may feel that hope is not lost or faint. Serving in the military, rendering honors for my fallen fellow comrades and/or their dependents allowed me to view this life as a temporary transition until the day our world ends and we're called home to the Most-High God. My work is incomplete; yet I strive daily to give my all to my wife; my children and my grandchildren. Not knowing the last time that my eyes will open and my world ends.
