A collection of writings from the depths of my soul. Everything from dealing with mental health issues up until my complete healing process. This is my journey to becoming who I am today.
and when your courage has run out to speak the words your heart is screaming, let these pages tell your story.
Throwing handfuls of loaded imagery from a decade of memories, whence you began and who you became, up against a wall to find a little peony in the pieces that stick. Hoping that something reverential stands out from the tidepools of irreverence sitting in someone else's hands. Holding hands with ghosts in a hallowed game of Red Rover, roving the landscapes to see which words escape and bid them a sweet smell-ya-later.
A collection of random pieces of my work over the years, from poems, book excerpts, and journal entries. Take peek into my life and imagination.
A compilation of poems that came from moments in time where words could not express out loud. Poems from love, trauma, happiness and despair. Inside voices are shouts and whisper that live in my head and begging to come out by pen
With poetry we escape the confines of standard text to express ourselves without the rules binding other words to their stead. With song we blur words that would lie too poignant on a page, let symphonies soften hard edges from all but the closest listeners. Poems are special for how the words feel and sound is just as important as what they mean, woven together like puzzle pieces. And a beautiful puzzle it shall be. After all, it's about how the words feel.
The book is a collection of poems written on a kaleidoscope of themes. From love to sadness, the book embodies the emotional rollercoaster that is life. Life is full of unexpected turns, and sometimes we would rather keep our eyes down and away. But its only those who dare to look, that take up a better position in their life.

The thoughts reflected in this literary collection are raw and unfiltered to provide the most intimate and accurate into the writers mind at the time.

In this book you'll find a compilation of poetry I've written over the year's that relate to life's up's and down's, our internal realizations, and to our emotional struggles with finding and losing love.
My life has not been perfect, like many people nowadays. I am in my late teen years only, but there is a lot that my life and people have taught me. There are things that aren't easy to openly say as an individual or a girl or a daughter or a friend....there are things that are just not easily visible which is one of the major reasons that make people suffer even more. So, the book has some of my unsaid yet heartedly felt feelings of confusion, sadness, anger, happiness and some vulnerablities too. I hope someone does relate to it and get some relief understanding that they are not alone in this and their inconvenience or sufferings too, are not minor.
""A collection of random thoughts from the banal to the more meaningful, it might otherwise be referred to as 'waffle'.More positively phrased as 'loose threads'.""
A collection of prose and poetry that hopefully evokes the idea and feeling of a mythology.
"A Healing Journey Within" is a collection of poems that reflect the hardship and healing that the authour has experienced thus far in her journey of life.
Controlled Khaos. What does that make you think of? The phrase is often used in a casual sense, to describe something that may seem out of control, but functions according to unseen rules and organization. That happens to feel closely matched to how my life has always functioned. It seems that I'm either in control or I'm spiraling out of control into Khaos. I'd like to explain myself. I'd like to invite you into some of the spaces, creases, and crevasses of my mind if you'd like to come in and stay for a while. I hope you will.
Love and living and how these things are both temperamental, whilst simultaneously eternal.
A combination of emotion and thoughts from my own life and of emotions and thoughts expressed by those around me, people and stories in the news, documentaries, in music and films. This is my expression of the determination to fight while allowing for the dark to be expressed bringing to light the battle of the experience. An expression that hope is sometimes hard to find but, no matter how small, it is there and my faith that helps to bring me though my trials to highlight the joy in life.
""""""What is to give light must endure burning"""" - Viktor FranklIn a black hole, gravity pulls so intensely that light cannot escape. In Black Hole Paradox, the inner workings of a soul are explored. Amongst the themes of toil, loneliness, passion, self acceptance and finally hope, a sense of connection emerges creating light. Such light creates a visible escape route from the confines of personal darkness. Hence, our paradox.""
""My poetry comes from a dark place, but it translates into many forms that give an itinerary to those who walk on similar paths. As a child I loved fairy tales, but as I grew, I realised that happy ever after did not represent in the form I had believed in. Indeed, was there really a happy ever after at all? I am given expression to voice what I see, to tell it like it is but to also find hope. It's about using the darkness to give out great light. It's about sitting and listening; pondering situations and looking for answers. This work is about something more, it's about the hope we may not see but the lessons that lead us to that place. It's a journey, a quest, it's expression. It's me.""
Miranda Holman weaves together a collection of poems to create a beautifully complicated story with unnamed female characters at the center. The poems are laid out in two sections "existing" and "embracing" while being unapologetic for tackling issues such as sexual assault, mental illness, sexual orientation, sorrow and death in her poetry. Holman's poems discuss acceptance of oneself while telling the stories of women's willingness to embrace the darkness inside them and be unapologetically raw.
5 years ago, my Mum died. I was 26 and a half, she was 12 days shy of 60. None of us were ready to be without her. I have the survived the darkest times since then because of the people that love me, lots of whom loved her too. My feelings doubled in size. And those emotions have come out in poems. I have learned to live differently. To hold on tight and appreciate the moments. To always laugh as loud as possible. To give as much as I can spare. To care about making things better. To never stop dreaming. I appreciate all the joy I can conjure. But I still miss you, Mum. Any time I miss anyone, when they're away or there's not enough time, it's always about you too. I want her spirit to live on. Her name was Maddie.
""Vulnerability, honesty and raw emotions. Delve inside the author's mind and experience the vulnerability printed on the pages. No minds are the same but struggles can be similar. A collection of poems related to mental health. You are not alone.""
November is that time of year, we're all waiting for the Christmas holidays, and there are so many ups and downs. There are 21 poems in this book.
