In Amanda Pippel's first poetry anthology "Late Nights and Summer Storms" she explores the competing yet shockingly similar subjects of love and sorrow. Her shown duality and unique expression of emotions helps readers to relate to her poems while pulling their own meanings from the lines. As a new author her young age gives her a unique perspective on the subjects of the poems and offers a continuing theme of growth and discovery through the pages. From her bright themes in "summer sun" to her depictions of darkness in "night" she really explores the topics she refers to in her title. Filled with questions, her poetry is open ended and leaves the reader wondering. Ultimately, her work helps readers to come up with their own answers.
Am I or the others crazy? is a collection of texts and poems about stumbling through young adult life with a corrupt mind, followed by imagined enemies.
""To open up to people and explain how you're feeling can be a lot of pressure, and sometimes you just don't know how a person will react to what you say. But you still need to get it off your chest. Me, I write. Sometimes I write about positive things; like what the stars mean to me or about my favourite colour or about how much I love my friends and family. But I also write about the negatives within my life, the stuff that's too hard to talk about. These are my thoughts that are often hard to say aloud. Thoughts from my broken mind.""
Adrift is a collection of short poems by Michael Allcock, written during his time as a medical student.
You name it and I have been curious about it. Confessions of toeing the line. Honest. Raw. Vulnerable.

Poetry is not my usual medium of expression but if there is one thing I believe in, it's to try everything at least once. I set out to do this 21 day poetry challenge as a way to, well, challenge myself as a writer and artist. I had just given birth to my second child and was still in the haze of late night feeds and diaper changes and wanted to a way to stay connected with the artist in me. So, I joined the challenge and every night, for twenty one nights, when I hooked myself up to my breast pump, I wrote a poem. Whatever was on my mind that day. I don't know whether it was the breast pump or just the natural state of being a mom, but motherhood was a topic that most lingered in my mind. And so, I wrote about - This Motherloving Life.
Feelings can be hard to deal with, messy and vulnerable; But sharing and understanding them brings peace and healing. This short collection of poems, The Feelings we've Forgotten, aims to offer a window of escape for our emotions.
Vibrant and honest, The Cave explores the verdant moments of life, the rocky emotions, slimy humor, and silhouettes of hope. Through the poetry an intriguing and compelling story is told, though plot points might get lost in the crannies.
I wrote this at the beginning of a trial separation from the love of my life. I was hurt and raw and could not find the sun for the life of me. It's not great poetry, but I wanted to give it a try. Just to say I had really. Life is a string of experiences, so let's try some new ones.
The Stories We Tell is a collection of poems depicting experiences shared by others as well as myself. Some stories are written poems directly from my first-hand experience while others were shared for me to then interpret and create into a poetic piece. Do not be deceived by the creativity, and clever wording, these are combinations of someone's real life stories. Whether it is grief and loss, intimacy and relationship, encouragement and engagement or some other human interaction, these poems capture the stories. As a Marriage and Family Therapist, I would hope this book gives room for persons to explore language and connection as the metaphors and words structures showcase a narrative you can relate to. As a Mom, I would hope this book helps to humanize parents as people who still have intimate connections and feelings about a myriad of topics. As a Writer and Poet, I would hope this book emphasizes creativity, word-play, personality and ultimately touches you in some way that you would want to share with another.

""We live in a world where we can easily lose our inner voice chasing dreams that other people have portrayed as worthy. We compare everything from our living standards, homes, achievement of our children, cars, salaries and materialistic possessions to the number of followers and likes on social media. In the process we are always short of other people's expectations. Those who have already been there and done that and achieved more.Life instils in us a feeling of incompleteness, inadequacy that often breeds insecurity, anxiety and stress. The fear of missing out (FOMO), as it has been called, is the search for yet another selfie-worthy experience. Experiences that are short lived and make us yearn for more.Is there another way to live?Is there another way to experience life? Are there more effective ways to celebrate other people? How do we disconnect and disengage with the always on, ever connected world?Increasingly we find ourselves being offered hacks and quick fixes. Ten steps to something and then seven surprising ways to do something else. As you go through them with much hope and anticipation, you have a vague sense that they are all things you already know at some level or will forget soon enough.Perhaps it is about discovering the little voice that is deep inside us. The voice that we can hear only when all other noise - external and internal - becomes quiet. The voice that needs deep love and nurturing care. Only when we value ourselves can we appreciate all that life has to offer. With extreme care, we can build our self-esteem, heal our wounds and traumas, repair our hurt and carry on with life as we were meant to - appreciating all the gifts it has to offer.Written as 21 songs, each song in this collection addresses an aspect of self love and care. Ranging from stress, anxiety, hurt, feelings of insecurity and anger to appreciating our physical existence. Each song is meant to be used as an affirmation and a meditative reflection. It is also a celebration of every moment of life and every breath we take.""

""A series of cathartic poems that have allowed me to process 50 years of life .... including mental health issues, eating disorders, childhood trauma, bullying, ADHD, neurodiversity, domestic violence, narcissism, manipulation, emotional, mental and psychological abuse ... Reflecting the decades of feeling misunderstood and unheard ... Learning to validate myself ....... and how I'm coming out the other side .... stronger, mentally and physically ... and much more self aware and more knowledgeable than I have ever been ... ... sharing what I've learnt so others can have those lightbulb moments a lot sooner in life than I did .... therefore avoiding wasting 4 or 5 decades of their precious life.""
