This is no ordinary case for T. J. McCall. Her client, Joanne, a reclusive heiress, with a slim hold on reality, is not who she said she is, and nothing about the case makes sense. Th e first husband, Michael, went missing nine years ago. Th e second husband, David, is Michael's brother. Joanne's New York powerful attorney, is protective of her, and thwarts T. J.s investigation at every turn. No small thing, since Joanne is the prime suspect for David's disappearance. Th e investigation leads to England where Joanne attended school, and after a self-abusive incident there, she is placed in a stateside sanitarium for three years. Things get murky until she married Michael, and then he disappeared, presumed drowned, though no body was found. David, it turns out, is a fugitive gunrunner and not the saint Joanne pictured him to be. Question is; why would someone running from the law get involved with someone as high profile as Joanne? In the end, David's so called disappearance, has no motive, makes no sense, and an outcome that shocks everyone...everyone except her attorney who was the only one in on the truth. LINDA FREENY, has two successful crime mystery novels that received great review. Th ese are available online at Amazon and Barnes and Noble. When Frank Damien joined the sheriff's office in a Southern California coastal town it was to escape brutal and often heinous crimes he experienced as a New York Police Detective. Thinking himself safe from something that still gives him nightmares, he was not prepared for the brutal murder of a husband and wife, bludgeoned to death in their bed seemingly without a fight. His belief that they were not killed together and at the same time and with more than one killer, is a view that is not shared by his coworkers, or anyone else. Something about this murder keeps drawing him back to the one in New York that cost him his wife and took him to the edge of insanity. The suspects are many because the dead husband had many enemies. Frank has on and off relationship with the dead man' ex-wife, who in so many ways reminds him of the wife he lost. It is a relationship that is complicated by the fact that her son is a prime suspect. LINDA FREENY, born and raised in England has been an American citizen for a long time. She writes in many different genres but has mostly written mostly mysteries and suspense, and always with a surprise ending. Since she is a fan of "page turners," she also writes with the intent to make her novels just as compelling. Some of her novels that are not strictly mysteries, always have twist at the end because it makes writing them more challenging, and she also writes screenplays and has adapted a few of her novels into that medium. Her hobby, along with her husband, is raising German Shepherds for show, and they own and bred many champions.

LINDA FREENY was born and raised in England but has an American Citizen for a long time. Her early infl uences were Agatha Christie, Mary Higgins Clarke, and Sidney Sheldon, where she developed her fascination with page turner mysteries. She has since gone on to other genres as well, but still favors a good mystery or thriller. All of her novels have a twist and at the end regardless of the genre, because it makes writing them more challenging. She also writes screenplays and has adapted three of her novels into scripts. Though her passion is writing, she and her husband also raise and breed German Shepherds owning and breeding many champions
