Congratulations! You did it! You tied the knot! The ceremony is over, the guests are gone and now it's just you and your spouse. So now, what? If you're anything like I was, you have no clue what comes next. ¿ What does it mean to be married? ¿ What are you expected to do? ¿ Do you move into his place? ¿ Does he move into yours or do you get rid of them both and find something new? ¿ What about kids? ¿ Do you immediately get started having a family or do you wait a year or two? ¿ Are you expected to be a housewife, or will you try to manage both a career and family? I am sure you have many questions about the journey you are about to embark on. Depending on who you ask, you will get different responses from different people. Each generation has its own expectations and ways of handling a marital situation. Lucky for you, I am here to give you some credible guidance. I'm going to share information that I didn't have when I became a newlywed.
Many things in life try to define who we are. Even at an early age, we hear questions like What do you want to be when you grow up? Some respond by saying I would like to be a doctor, nurse, or teacher, all of which are great professions and careers. Yet none of them tell us who we are, or what we're here on Earth to do. Our perception of ourselves can often be distorted based on personal experiences, trials, and disappointments. Nevertheless, we were created in the image of God. The first mention of I AM in the scriptures is when God introduces Himself to Moses in Exodus 3:14. Moses asked whom shall I say sent me? God replied by saying, tell them, "I AM THAT I AM" has sent you. God replied by saying, tell them, "I AM THAT I AM" has sent you.
I CANHave you ever thought you couldn't in a world filled with possibilities? Well, that's what Isaac feels like. He thinks he can't, but as he begins to dream, he dreams for the impossible, and little does he realize he really really can! He can be whatever he desires to become! Isaac begins to see that he can do all things if he just believes!
It is our pleasure to introduce the voice of God, creativity, passion, excitement, and information throughout the pages of this magazine. Many see the bible as one big book filled with inspiring promises. Still, it's many books written by different authors organized to help us understand the nature of God and his people. God is a creative writer who writes his word in the hearts of His people. We are excited to launch a place where God can inspire and draw others to him through your story. And I, if I am lifted from the earth, will draw all men to Myself. (John 12:32)"Living Waters Magazine" provides a platform for God's handiwork. It is where writers can express their passions, share their stories from God, and blossom in their anointing as scribes. ¿Scribes in the earth..... You have been chosen!
For a long time, because of past traumas. I viewed myself as being the "ugly duckling" I had convinced myself that I was simply not enough, not pretty enough, etc. However, I am so grateful for my growth and development. Along with the power of affirmations, I realize I am more than enough; I am beautiful, I am worthy, and I deserve the absolute best. I have witnessed my mother raise nine children primarily by herself and endure many surgeries (not the least of which was a heart transplant). I have been abused sexually, mentally, and physically.I held my father in my arms as he took his last breath. I have chased love. I have not had any children of my own and have given up living my life to please a man who bled me dry and ultimately left me for another woman. I have been heartbroken and broke financially with bad credit. I have moved back and forth from place to place, couch to couch, and state to state. I have battled breast cancer and endured multiple surgeries in an effort to save my life and to feel and look normal again. Yet, in all that I did, the one thing I did not do was quit. I refuse to give up!
