What can I say? It was a year the wind was blowing; it was out of control. It had a way of getting on your nerves. It can be a powerful force to deal with. We like to control things, don't we? We like things calm, right? The wind is out of our control, and we find ways to deal with it. It was funny, I woke up one night, the wind was pounding, and I said, "I hear you wind." I gathered my pen and paper and started writing wind poems in the dark. The wind can be a pushy fellow. Our emotions can be pushy like that, forcing us to feel things we do not want to feel. I was inspired to mix the wind with emotions, with a sprinkling of advice, opinions, and imagination. That is what happens in a windstorm, everything gets blown around together. Some things stay, some blow away. The wind-I decided to have fun with it.Seven words: Be a powerful force like the windWind emotions advice opinions imagination faith truth

Newtown's Trees is an allegory about the 2012 tragedy in Newtown, Connecticut, using the town's beloved trees cut down by the protagonist as the central theme. It is a book that can be appreciated on several levels; by adults who know the horrific details of the events that took place on the cold December morning, as well as by children who read the book or have it read to them as a sad story with an uplifting ending that outlines the strength of the human spirit. The tale has an even wider application to other news stories that portray bad things happening to good people. Newtown's Trees is a book that warms the heart and leaves the reader feeling that despite these often senseless tragedies, there's a lot of good in this world.

God suddenly took in a deep breath and blew toward the night sky. Then suddenly the wind began to swirl like a tornado and whisk around the sky and a gazillion stars began floating in the atmosphere and he named them all one by one. With the same breathe the sky cracked open, thunder and lightning lit up the sky and once it stopped. You could see the other planets form into the solar system and he named them Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune. All of this transpired after he set the moon in place.

She lost everything the world holds dear and stands in the face of the evil one to claim that which belongs to all Christians. In these pages, Dr. Aranda reveals her near-death experience, back - ashes from her upbringing, and how she received her miraculous healing touch from God. Go to the Stairway to Heaven with her, and see God's love and mercy as she returns to earth. And think of all that which never would have happened, had she not survived: six books later and without her return to medicine, over two thousand patients seen during the pandemic would have or could have died. She provides specific ways to create your miracle: Speak Life into Your Life, Saturate Yourself with God's Word, and See Yourself Whole. Read and speak healing Bible verses until it saturates your core. Speak your healing into existence. After all, God created light with his words, "Let there be light."

The Bridge Committee is a novel. The only nonfiction aspect is the title itself, which is derived from a dignified-sounding name applied to the growing group of drug users whom the author managed to become close enough with to try to modify their behavior while teaching American history in junior high school. Other labels at that time could have included druggies, draggers, and burnouts. Using a nonjudgmental, individual approach, a teacher of fifteen-year-olds can and did have considerable impact. The stress is enormous, the setbacks frequent, and the frustrations painful. The reader is asked to avoid or at least resist allowing the fictitious plot to interfere with the aim of believing in the character of young people struggling through adolescence. They need positive role models. The sixties were a decade of turmoil. Against a backdrop of unpopular war there were protesters of almost everything. The most influential of these topics for the school-aged population was the forced racial integration of public schools. "Bussing" became a swear word. Those reaching puberty seemed the least ready for this kind of adjustment. The plot shows how well-meaning sanctimonious action can spiral out of control.

This revised version of Musings of a Mad Scientist has been edited by the author, to remove non-literary digressions and overly abrupt transitions. Of the original works, perhaps 75% are preserved, and appropriate transitions or endings have been introduced when indicated. The scope of Musings remains very broad... from our inner space, to the outer realms of the Universe. Dissecting difficult concepts is the woven goal of the Mad Scientist as he articulates his heartiest feelings on life.
