A collection of pastoral poems by Edmund Spenser, in imitation of Virgil's Eclogues, The Shepheardes Calender regards rural life and love through the rotation of the seasons of the year. This edition is newly typeset using Renaissance typefaces and printed with colour headings and titles. The charming archaic spelling of the original text is not updated.

Here is the great medieval German poem, the Nibelungenlied, derived from ancient Germanic legend, as translated by Alice Horton into English retaining the meter and rhyme structure of the original. The text is freshly typeset.
