As this book has taken many years to complete and the pain has never withered from this cold-blooded hit for hire murder of Carole and the lack of justice from the Courts for her family. This book is dedicated to Carole "e;FLIP"e; Phillips and all of her roller derby families who had the opportunity of sharing such a short but beautifully awesome life with her.

This little book has two goals: it is a lyceum of thought and a critical reflection. You will be introduced to episodes in elementary schools that impact successful teaching and learning for young children. To get the most out of this book, you must be brave and suspend your power. Then you are ready to join your students as they feel their way through social challenges because you remember when. Read and discuss this book with your students and your children. Soulsongs is a book of poems about the spiritual journey of the individual soul through the life of this world. It consists of 102 poems, ranging in style from short lyric poems to longer poems in free and semi-free verse, organized into 12 thematic sections representing the cycle of birth and death and ultimate liberation. Each poem stands on its own but is also thematically connected with the others in an organic whole. The book includes a 23 page introduction outlining the aesthetic principles underlying poetry, in particular its connection with music. Also available is a companion CD, Jericho Freeway, consisting of twelve original songs performed by the author on acoustic guitar and harmonica.Order the CD at jerichofreeway.comContact the author at sycamorebooks@jerichofreeway.com

People believe that every story is like a fairy tale, and that every tale ends with a happy ending. But we live in a much darker place. Many things can change in a matter of seconds or minutes, and for some of us, those moments can change our lives forever.People always say that things happen for a reason as a form of fate or that there is a design for each of our lives, and that no matter what you do, the outcomes will always be the same, as there is no escaping from your destiny. The stories that I have included in Not Every Story Has a Happy Ending are examples of how simple and innocent choices have horrible repercussions.I am going to take you for a ride among a world of beauty, friendships, love, and hope, and then as the pages turn, I will take you down a disturbing path of supernatural beings, revenge, macabre imagery, torture, and horror.

Paging through The Sketchbook is like opening a time capsule into a period of both deep affection and deprivation for the author and her family. The book is based on fact as told from the perspective of the artist's daughter, who is the keeper of the sketches and love letters, now becoming more fragile as time passes. Highlighted are the years many Germans and Italians spent in internment camps in Southern Rhodesia (Zimbabwe) during the Second World War. The loss of her father set the author's family, her mother and brother, on a trajectory of homelessness, tempered by the resolute determination of the mother to have her children succeed against these odds.

With all things being equal (love, supervision, opportunities, or a lack of these things), kids grow up to be adults. There is no changing that phenomenon. Let us--as parents, guardians, or just people who care--equip them with some information that will cause them to think about their choices and the consequences, especially ones that may have a financial impact on their lives, which is just about everything. Even more important is teaching our kids to think about how to access a situation or think about a problem and make informed decisions using good information. It's the least we can do for kids at an early age so they aren't totally surprised as adults and end up on the "e;vicious cycle"e; wheel of bad decisions and endless debt.

For all the parents, no matter your age, remember--you were a kid once! For young kids and parents alike, this book should help foster a love for exploration and imagination in this great big world.

This book is to bring awareness to its readers of the very serious and intricate times that confront human life today. The complications we face today are variable. Constant changes taking place and new meanings of life itself are being introduced to humanity on a grand scale. All life is precious in God's sight and should be the same according to mankind's standards of human interrelationship with each other in this world. This book underlines how a dangerous pandemic can, at any time, wipe away humanity from the face of the earth at any given moment in a year, unless Jesus intervenes by giving scientists breakthroughs to better manage this threat to our way of life. Spiritual involvement is causing the entire human community to either turn away from their wicked way of thinking and activities or to face the wrath of God head-on. I want you, as my readers, to know that there is a way out of a hell-bound destination if you would awaken from the darkness of thinking that certain remnants society has enforced upon you. Pandemics such as COVID-19 and the new world order on social injustice will not forever stand or prosper if the human race stands up and combats all the driving forces that are destroying mankind, but those who stand in front of the court of internal judgment, the bar will be raised against you in the final acknowledgement of mankind's worthiness on earth.

Gold is the most precious of gifts the earth can give to humanity and the most precious of gifts which humans can offer to their gods or give to one another. It will last, unchanging, through all the ages but can be altered by the artistry of human hands. Its beauty stands alone, and when shaped by the hands of humans, its beauty can be beyond compare. People have desired it, cherished it, prided themselves in its possession, and sold their souls to possess it.This is the story of a lump of gold mined out of the bounty of the earth and its passage through the generations and centuries of humanity. It is also not so much the story of the lump of gold and its transformation, from one object to the next, but rather the stories, however episodic, and the fates of some of those people, lucky or unlucky, happy or unhappy, who possessed it. As such, it becomes a prism through which one can view the passage and fate of generations and nations which had been, or are still, present on the stage of our existence.By the very nature of telling such a story, one can only seize moments out of the whole texture of centuries. I admit that I have chosen periods of history which have a particular fascination for me--one individual's particular fancy. Any number of other stories could be added or inserted into this list, like pearls to a strand of a necklace. By that very assessment, this story will never be complete and awaits additions, if not by the writer, then by the reader's imagination.
