AUTHORS: Dennis Russell, Terry Nash, Valerie Beard, Floyd Beard, Dale PageWhat's Cowboy Poetry? The American cowboy sprang up from rag-tag brood of Civil War survivors and the orphans of those who never came home. In that short time from 1865 until 1890, those boys grew to men atop a horse while they pushed wild cattle to the railroads in Kansas. A mixed bunch of black, white, and brown Texans passed on their experiences, stories, and half-truths in rhyme and meter. Rhymes can make the words easier to remember and meter can fit the words of the poem into music. Thousands of those poems survive to this day. They serve as the standard for today's cowboy poetry in passing on the morals, hardships, joys and heartaches during of the unparalleled three decades after the Civil War. Those verses were passed from one outfit to another up and down the Goodnight-Loving, Great Northern, and Chisholm Trails. They're about men who rode rank horses to drive wild cattle to places they'd never been. The poems speak of integrity, fair play, hard work and what it means to be a friend or neighbor. The award-winning authors have corralled their verses here in the hope that the tales will give you a look into the lives and minds of the American cowboy. They've been gathered here to take you back to times when life was simpler. In some ways, they'll tell you, it was better.
Fifteen-year-old Savannah Jorja Dale is a sensitive poet searching for happiness. Savannah and her siblings, Montana and Phoenix, all named for the places their drug-addicted mom would like to visit, are being raised by their Mimi. When Mimi dies of cancer, their lives become uprooted and more chaotic. The three teens must move in with their eccentric great grandma, Granny Crackers, and pick trash to earn their keep. Granny Crackers runs a never- ending garage sale from the back lot of her house in a Midwestern, inner city neighborhood known as Paris Village. Savannah seeks answers to the questions she has about suffering and God by finding beauty in ugly and unexpected places. She captures images of her new world and shares them on Instagram. The problems that Savannah faces are indicative of today's social landscape. The characters that share her story have their own crosses to bear. Savannah tells their stories with compassion and understanding. The book touches on subject matter relevant in today's world such as: sexual identity, racial discrimination, L.G.B.T.Q issues, immigration, poverty, the generation gap, the opioid crisis, and many other timely topics.

The Celtic peoples of the British Isles held a very unique and deep Christian faith that carried with it a deep cultural history and love for God and creation. This book looks at the modern western beliefs of the Christian faith and views them through the eyes of the ancient Celtic believers to bring an ancient eye to the theological stances of the modern church.
During the 1970s Adam Heath was hated by thousands in America's Bible Belt. As a struggling Nashville songwriter turned professional 'wrassler', Adam adopted the ring persona of THE HEATHEN. His sacrilegious ring antics encouraged by a publicity hungry promoter infuriated fans throughout the Midsouth. Soon the KKK, a group cloaked in a virulent strain of Christian fundamentalism, viewed his popularity as an existential threat to Southern culture. They plan a spectacular and deadly event designed to trigger a national cleansing as well as jump-start America's return to a God-fearing white nation. While the book examines the dark and superstitious impulses of religious bigotry, it also shines a spotlight on the seeds of white nationalism planted decades ago, now blossoming in today's poisonous political atmosphere. The novel beautifully weaves the hard-scrabble world of Nashville songwriting with the sleazy underbelly of regional Southern wrestling. At the same time, it carefully documents the main character's slow renunciation of his tenuous faith while embracing the rational philosophy of free-thinking Humanism.
Tell the tale of Kurt Kallini, major impressario, in diamonds and dust, tech and investments, funding Jack Livingston from the Catskills to the Albany regency. Tell of his good fortune. Tell of the people he helped like Darlene and Leslie and Flash Gordon. Tell of the people who hated him with good reason. Tell how the 21rst Century turned his life upside down. See Kurt Kallini on the cover of Time magazine bearded like Ayatollah Khomeini in a Seventies photo. Call him the face of terrorism. Tell how CIA ops like Mark McD and Ahmad Quobi interrogated and tortured and defamed him as the funder of Al Qaeda's 9/11 terrorism. Tell of his trials in Langley, extra rendition in Egypt, and how his interrogation and torture in Gitmo took him apart. McD and Ahmad drained him of all secrets and life energy till Kurt Kallini was nothing but his epilepsy and polio shattered body. Let him sit on the porch of Haight Avenue, this impressario of the SDS Sixties, now a listless old coot a street shy of his daughter Carma at Vassar College. Tell David Morpheys and CC Cinquemani his sad story of unjust treatment and let them tell how 9/11 changed his life, our lives, and the rectitude of all of us/US.When the Sky Fell, we met the new millennium. Call 9/11 the pivot of the 21rst Century. Y2K was nothing but a false alarm. The hanging chad 500 votes in Florida which the Supreme Court validated was nothing but a close election. The Millennium began when the Twin Towers came crashing down to dust, when the sky fell on New York City. Bush-Cheney who didn't want America to fix the world but stay at home and fix America, took 9/11 to reverse all their plans. Not only do we turn to terror alerts on our own people but to torture in Gitmo, extra-rendition in Egypt, and slimy stuff in Saddam's prison of Abu Graib. We don't have UN support for our Iraq War, whose warning of WMD's will be a mushroom cloud, but we march in one month on Baghdad only to lose the war over the next five years. The Iraq War stirs up The Rapture and the Left Behind in our Holy Land Crusade. It's US on steroids. The Iraq War stirs up banking invested in a housing bubble of subprime ninja loans, MBS, tranches, and dirivatives which wreck our economy and Europe's too. When the sky fell and the Twin Towers came crashing down to dust, our reaction to the terror threat ruined our democracy, our US and EU economy, and our moral standing as leader of the free world.
After the devastating 4th of July attack on Livingston Plaza in Houston, TX, OMICRON's assignment is to find the Islamic terrorist, Ibrahim Haddad, and his lover, Inga Doudin, who were responsible for the assault. The hunt only begins when OMICRON tracks Haddad's bank account to Curaçao in the Netherlands Antilles. There, OMICRON agents force Haddad's attorney to give them his alias and cell phone number. With NSA tracking his calls, they discover Haddad is financing the AQIM (Al Qaeda In Islamic Maghreb) in Mali. The attorney warns Haddad and sends over $150 million to his account in Lichtenstein. Haddad disappears, and OMICRON later determines that he is headed for Dubai (UAE) to meet with a major arms dealer to purchase weapons for AQIM, and the chase is on.
