It's an insightful road map to help every reader identify and work through negative and disempowering thoughts like guilt, grief, anger, and self-doubt. It's packed with a delicious assortment of tender nuggets of unconventional wisdom. If you choose to treat your mind like the palace it is by becoming an active and vigilant gatekeeper who only entertains thoughts that have the potential to improve your life and the lives of the people you love, you will become stronger, wiser, and happier.

Science of the Bible cites passages from scriptures and then clarifies their agreement with modern science. The author's intention was to correct the commonly repeated and destructive trope put forth by atheists that science and religion, specifically the Judeo-Christian Bible, are separate and incompatible and that believers are ignorant of science. Eighty-five percent of Nobel laureates are believers, and they are hardly ignorant of science.

In our daily lives, it is easy to forget the little things that are important to us, such as kindness, love, understanding, and patience. We find ourselves seldom taking the time to take a deep breath, to meditate, or to acknowledge that person having a difficult time. The book Intersection of Life is intended to bring the reader's focus back to those things, if only for a moment.

An American family's 134,000-word two-part, action-filled fiction story from the Vietnam era. Based on Ronald's tour guarding nuclear weapons in Europe and twin Rusty's actual combat narrative with the Marines in Vietnam. How the family, with an unflappable faith in their countries, duty to fight the spread of Communism, survived the war's turmoil that lambasted families, and the country's persona for years.Vietnam, the rabbit hole about some went in, some came out, and some are still there. Some memories won't leave you in peace. They haunt Rusty and Rory and go round and round in their memories until they write it. This thriller/adventure story is a bridge between fact and fiction set in the Vietnam era by a witness to the witnesses of the quagmire based on true life events. The twins and their childhood friends march off to the drumbeat of never having lost a war. They do their duty and struggle to make it home intact. Rory's fight is about a psychological/internal struggle of perseverance to battle a psychotic sergeant. Rusty's fight is about physical and emotional endurance in the face of constant death. Will Rusty survive his sister's prophecy and the family curse of twin Uncle Rusty being killed in World War II? Who survives, and who is smashed by war's merciless fist? The survivors drifted into psychodelamania for years. The lessons they learned and the map they used are relevant to the turmoil of today's world. This story unfolds unlike the traditional story. It unfolds more in a transitional, episodic, chapter-by-chapter of each brother's path. Good stories are exciting to read or watch, like a cobra fighting a mongoose. Folks fascinated. Gotta see what comes next. This is one of those war stories.

At the dawn of a precarious post-civil war Nigeria, Jeffrey Igwe and JoeBoy Amanze, chummiest of Igbo pals from the eastern region of the country, surmised that opportunities for them to soar in their lives' dreams weren't guaranteed in an already rife, tribal, and nepotistic society, shrewdly skewed against the Igbos, who were tacitly deemed a bellicose race of people for allegedly igniting the heap of cinders and embers that eventually erupted into a full-scale tribal bloodbath between the Igbos and the Hausa, albeit the Igbos only audaciously fought the Hausa, the federal troops, to counter their subjugation and defend their people, dignity, and ancestral homeland in a civil war that raged from 1967-1970.Gritty, fearless, ambitious, and contrarian, Jeffrey Igwe, who fought and survived the civil pogrom as a Biafran army captain, sought the recourse of JoeBoy Amanze as he transitioned from his ancestral provenance of Amaku to the metropolitan city of Lagos for the very first time. The two chums eventually migrated to Dallas, Texas, where their lives as the years wore on took a dramatic turn, precipitated by avarice, machismo ego, love, passion, and a trail of bloodcurdling family betrayals, unforeseen maledictions, and tragedies. The Sojourner is a historical romance, an emotion-laden, riveting, gripping, humorous, and erotic narrative of love lost and an enduring love found, such as Gavanka Garfunkel, a stunningly gorgeous, burgeoning, sultry jazz crooner, which culminated in a moon shot at the American dream that wound up shaping diametric destinies for the bosom friends in the United States, destinies that eventually, as the years wore on, made an impact on their extended menage back in Nigeria, in London, England, and in Rennes-le-Chateau, Southern France. The saga continues to unfurl in this seven-book series to be published in the near future.

The inspiration for The Luck of Two Ducks came from a pair of inseparable ducks that lived in a pond near my house in Pooler, Georgia. Along with the actual ducks, Curtis Jones Jr. and Denny Ackerman were my inspiration for the characters. Curtis was a great friend and a coworker at the University of Texas in Austin. He was an amazing person that had a passion for helping people. Curtis graduated from Dartmouth with a degree in sociology and earned four college letters for his performance on Dartmouth's varsity baseball team. Additionally, he earned a master's degree in journalism from the University of Missouri. Curtis was the Associate Athletic Director for Academic Support at West Virginia University until his untimely passing in 2013.My father, Denny Ackerman, was an artist and the business owner of Ackerman Visual Advertising in Cleveland, Ohio. He created logos and signs for various businesses in the Greater Cleveland area. This long list of clients included the Agora Theater and Ballroom, the Cleveland Browns, All-Pro Sport Camps, and Cleveland International Records. Denny was honored to be selected to participate in the inaugural event of GuitarMania, which celebrates the birthplace of rock and roll by transforming ten-foot tall Fender and Stratocaster guitars into works of art placed all around the city of Cleveland. He loved art, sports, music, and doing life with his wife, Linda. He was passionate about anything that involved his family and children. He passed away from a long battle with cancer on May 8, 2013.Denny and Curtis met in 2010 at Cuatros in Austin, Texas. It was amazing to see two of the most impactful people in my life meet for the first time and have an instant connection despite being from different walks of life. The Luck of Two Ducks is a story about their connection, but truly about my admiration and friendship with both Curtis and my father. Additionally, I wanted to create something that my son, DC, and future children would always be able to reference to learn about Grandpa and Uncle Curt. The Luck of Two Ducks is a story about love, acceptance, and not only embracing but celebrating diversity. I've had a wonderful career in the world of sports and have been blessed to work with so many different people from various backgrounds. To quote one of my best friends, "The world would be a boring place if everyone were like you and me." No truer words have ever been spoken. I hope you enjoy the story!
