This is a story about parallel love affairs separated by nearly a half century. The first is between Larry Martin and his former high school girlfriend, Deirdre Montgomery, now married with children. The second is between a conflicted American priest, Jean-Pierre Frechette, and a patriotic British lady named Sybil who, at the onset of World War II, lost her dearest friend to the Nazis. Years later, Larry is drawn into an existing tension between his new friend, Rebekah Goldstein, and her beautiful young daughter, Sara. Rebekah doesn't remember and is afraid to know anything about her past because of what she once discovered it is likely to mean. But Sara feels her grandmother's presence every time she plays a certain classical piece on her violin, and she wants to know everything. In different ways, they solicit Larry's assistance in confronting the stress that it is causing between them; but he needs Deirdre's help, and she can't provide it unless the two of them are able to resolve the issue that caused their own breakup thirty years before. While they attempt to do so, Deirdre helps Larry connect certain things he remembers seeing back then in the mountain cabin of an old woodsman, Joe Pete, regarding Joe Pete's fantasized involvement with a Native American dancer, Molly Spotted Elk, with what Larry begins to think may have been a part of Rebekah's past. Related clues came later in the sanctuary of a troubled and solitary priest Larry met after his own college indiscretion with another girl. Deirdre's novel solution now provides the vehicle for Larry's attempt to put it all together, but it also brings the two of them to the question of their own highly challenged ability to rebuild the relationship they both crave.

THE BRAHMIN GIRLThis is a fictional story of the brutal murders of two women, spanning a forty-five-year period: Libby Browne, a 17-year-old savant, murdered in the remote forests of Maine in 1965 and Darcy Farrell, an FBI agent, shot to death in the tidewater reaches of the Chesapeake Bay in 2010. It is told in the first-person narrative voices of three individual characters: Carrabassett Police Chief Tom Bradley; then graduate Northeastern criminology student Darcy Farrell; and retired FBI agent Lyle Beckwith. While engaged in a summer intern program in Carrabassett, Maine, in 1985, Farrell breaks open and solves the twenty-year-old cold case murder of Libby Browne. Twenty-five years later, Beckwith becomes consumed with finding and avenging the 2010 murder of his then wife Darcy, focusing on a shortlist of prime suspects, all of whom are his former crime subjects, identified by the FBI's psychological profile team. Grieving and emotionally distraught, he identifies and pursues the killer on his own rogue, clandestine initiative, rejecting help from the FBI. This compelling and suspense-driven novel was honored as a finalist in the 2022 Page Turner Book Awards in London.

A little tenderness goes a long way in heart-to-heart communication. It renews a right spirit and warms the hearts of all participants. Just a smile or a wave can make a good day for someone. Don't forget the hugs. The twenty-four chapters in this book provide examples of tenderness. Many of the chapters are devoted to family members. Other chapters are devoted to helping someone else, like neighbors. In one of the chapters, Emily shovels snow off a neighbor's walkway, and Kevin, her brother, who is resting on a couch, gets an inner feeling to go help Emily. He approaches Emily with a tear in his eye, and they work together shoveling snow.In several chapters, Emily and Kevin help a poor organ grinder and his little monkey. The organ grinder's house is more like a shack than a house. Emily and Kevin replace many sideboards on the exterior of the house and wallboard on the walls and ceiling inside the house. Emily and Kevin train five chimps to stand on one another's shoulders so that they are five chimps high with a paint can and brush in the hands of the top chimp. The bottom chimp moves sidewise, and when the topmost chimp is through painting his section, he hands the paint can and brush to the next chimp down. The top chimp then jumps down, and the remaining chimps continue this scenario until the entire house is painted.

The production of Athearn Trains models has been very well-documented in several books over the years, even since its quite early days. In this work, the progression of the company's advertising is likewise well-documented. Since 1947, there have literally been thousands of pages of advertising presented to magazine readers. The Illustrated History of Athearn Advertising brings out the many styles of ads, the most colorful, and likely some of the best brought to the attention of model railroaders everywhere. This work is the result of years of scouring the many ads printed in many model railroading magazines since the founding of Athearn Trains. The selected pages of advertising shown in these pages share the many messages detailing the virtues of Athearn models and in many cases follows the pricing of their models over the years. The very first work documenting Athearn advertising from the very beginning through the company's seventieth anniversary, this book is a must-have for all model railroaders for deeper insight into the history of Athearn advertising, and the company itself.

This story is going to tell how and why destiny had a man with no literary talent or writing skills, along with a very limited vocabulary, become an author of five best-selling books. This book will be the culmination of all the books the author has written.According to the FBI and New York Organized Crime Task Force, he is a high-profile member of the Mafia.Never before has this man talked or written about the Mafia. In each of his five books, he is evasive when it comes to the Mafia allegations brought upon him by law enforcement.During the writing of this book, he became inspired to be completely truthful about his involvement in the Mafia. He says that he will do this without being a snitch, which he refers to as a rat. During his admission, he only speaks of people who are deceased or people who have become rats. The author is going to show how one man becoming too powerful within our political structure would be able to jeopardize the democracy of the greatest nation on the face of the earth. This fascinating man's story is thrown off the rails when his insight tells him that our nation is under siege. He goes on to tell how and why our nation has been recently threatened to have its democracy overthrown.Could it be possible that one sick, deranged man with too much power could jeopardize the future of our great nation? The book offers some humor and many messages, but most of all, it shows that with an unbreakable determination in one's belief, your destiny will be fulfilled. This story has one incredible, unexplainable event that takes place, which will keep you on your toes throughout. You will read about this phenomenal occurrence in depth when the story from "Beyond the Beyond" is told.So strap on your seat belts because you are about to take an incredible journey of an old man's quest to bring forth the message from "Beyond the Beyond" and fulfill his destiny.

Lovin Me Always will give you the feeling of love, life, and just living. Saint Charles is a small community in Bear Lake Valley. The town sits on the Idaho-Utah border just off Highway 89 and is the inspiration for our fantastical place called Windy Ridge. The story takes place in the fifties. An American family with Scottish roots built their homes in a mountain valley at the top of Jacob's Canyon Road. There are six houses: Mountain House, Grandma and Grandpa's cottage named Kings X by the kids, Castle Rock, River Rock Place, Glass Tower, and Lutz Lake House. There are six main characters who are close cousins: Chrystal, Alex, Reigny, Glitter, Windy, Snowy, and Ismond, commonly known as the Ridge Kids. Most of their adventures start or end on Windy Ridge. The mountain loves the family and provides for it. Summer has boating on the blue, blue water of Bear Lake; autumn brings the dancing scarecrow and fireworks; winter has skiing, snowshoeing, skating, and mystery; and spring brings reflection and redemption. Windy Ridge is the beloved home of their collective youth. They find love and security there as well as adventure and danger as they choose to travel forbidden roads.

This book is a collection of my thoughts regarding the story Tuesdays with Morrie. Our assignment in class was to take a passage from the book and interpret it in our words, thoughts, and feelings! Also, in my writing course, we provided daily thoughts and keep a journal! My professors loved my writing, and I received excellent grades! Everyone has thoughts, and I know some of mine may or may not touch you! I do hope that some of my words may bring some insights about me and my life

This book is about a man who has a heart for the things of YAH and how YAH was with him wherever he went in this life. He had an extraordinary military career, retiring as an E7 (sergeant first class) with many military awards. He was a military postal inspector for five and a half years over Europe, Middle East, and Africa. He learned that the fourth commandment of the Ten Commandments deals with honoring YAH on the day He set aside for us to honor Him. Mr. Gooden believes it to be the test commandment. YAH has caused this man to ride upon the high places of the earth (see Isaiah 58:13-14).How as a child, he asked for these three things from YAH, and He granted his requests in a mighty way: (1) He asked to go to Jerusalem, and he has been there four times. (2) He asked to be a man after YAH's own heart. YAH allowed him to go to the tomb of King David with his son, John David. (3) He asked YAH for wisdom, and He granted his request.Mr. Gooden prayed and laid hands on three people that were near death and they recovered. YAH answered in a mighty way. One individual recently celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary. He has spoken into the lives of three people who were in secret societies by telling them to confess their sins to YAH before they died. How he was able to locate his wife's aunt in another country (Germany) and how he found the exact room number in the hospital she was in and his wife was able to talk with her before she died. Here is just one of the stories where he received a word of knowledge to check his car after it had been serviced and found that his brand-new alternator had been stolen. He received a better alternator, and his PCM computer was installed for free. How he was able to find and fix a leak in a waterline buried three to five feet below the ground in a forest of trees. He has many stories to show that YAH has been working in his life. He hopes everyone that reads this book will be blessed by reading it. YAH is alive and so are His Words. When you read this book, it will cause your faith to soar! This isn't false advertisement. This is the real McCoy!This book is offered to YAH as an offering of His goodness to anyone who puts their trust in Him. Mr. Gooden refuses to offer to YAH something that cost him nothing! This book is loaded with many stories of how YAH has worked in this man's life.
