The estrangement epidemic in America is taking place mostly among the millennial generation. Although estrangement has always been a part of each generation, the explosion of numbers has caught the attention of many psychologists. Ironically, they are working to resolve a problem that they partially created. Several books have been written about the social phenomenon by noted psychologists, but few have been written by those who have suffered the indignity of estrangement. This is one from the point of view of the estranged. It is a heartbreaking story that many people today will identify with because they are experiencing the same problem.

This book is a direct reflection of what Christ did for me five years ago. I'm ashamed to say for many years I claimed to be a Christian while my actions said just the opposite. I was even called out once. I was asked if I was a Christian and I responded yes. Someone that knew me was standing there. He laughed and said "sure you are". My heart attack six years ago had me thinking more about God but I was still holding on to the worldly things that we are told to refrain from. One day I'm watching television and I come across a pastor that grabbed my attention. In hind sight God got my attention that day. This sermon had a huge impact on me. I didn't really have a relationship with Christ. I hadn't truly surrendered my life to him. Since that day I've been a different person. That's when I finally found my love for Jesus. Out of nowhere I start writing these poems. It was as if God was using my hand to write down words he was putting in my heart. After much encouragement, I had my poems published. It is my desire to glorify my Lord through this work. I hope you enjoy these poems, more so I hope they inspire you in your walk with Jesus.
