In jüngerer Vergangenheit häuften sich Fälle, in denen die Verwaltung Entscheidungen von Verwaltungsgerichten bewusst nicht umsetzte. Der Autor nimmt diese Entwicklung zum Anlass und befasst sich mit der Frage, welchen Anteil die Vollstreckungsregeln der Verwaltungsgerichtsordnung an dieser Entwicklung haben. Dabei erfasst er sowohl die staatsrechtliche als auch die grundrechtliche Perspektive. Er überprüft insbesondere, ob die Vorschriften, die die Vollstreckung aus verwaltungsgerichtlichen Entscheidungen gegen den Staat regeln, verfassungsgemäß sind. Nach ausführlicher Diskussion denkbarer Lösungsansätze kommt der Autor zu dem Ergebnis, dass eine Änderung der Vollstreckungsvorschriften dringend geboten ist.

Die Gastarbeiter, welche ab der zweiten Hälfte der 60er Jahre nach Österreich gekommen sind und auf die Rückkehr ins Heimatland verzichtet haben, konnten alle Entwicklungen in Bezug auf die Integrationspolitik - welche durch die Institutionalisierung einen öffentlichen Stellenwert bekommen - miterleben. In diesem Werk erfolgt eine kritische Darstellung ausgehend von der Gastarbeiter-Anwerbung bis zur Einbettung der Integrationspolitik mit einem Tiefblick in die Institutionalisierungsphase. Darüber hinaus wird durch die Studie die Betrachtungsweise der Gastarbeiter über die integrationspolitischen Entwicklungen und das Integrationsbild von den nächsten Generationen der Gastarbeiterfamilien dargestellt, welche für manche Leser die Möglichkeit eines Perspektivenwechsels anbieten wird.

Virtual standard setting became more popular since the global outbreak of Covid-19 in 2020. Standard setting practitioners needed to conduct either cut score studies and/or linking studies online. The research presented in this book predates Covid-19 and explores virtual standard setting in two e-communication media (audio and video) and then compares them to the face-to-face environment. The interplay of quantitative methods [i.e., classical test theory (CTT) and Rasch measurement theory (RMT)] and qualitative methods [(i.e., constant comparative method (CCM), and media naturalness theory (MNT)] unravel Ariadne's thread into the labyrinth of virtual standard setting. Illustrative examples of how to conduct and evaluate a virtual workshop are offered to stimulate standard setting practitioners to embrace the opportunities of the virtual environment.

Juli Zehs Roman Über Menschen spricht die großen gesellschaftlichen Themen an, die zur Debatte stehen: Klimakrise, Coronaepidemie, Rechtsradikalismus. Zahlreiche reale Fakten aus zeitgenössischer Politik und Gesellschaft werden in der Diegese kontrafaktisch variiert und wurden in der vorliegenden Studie der Wirklichkeit perspektivisch gegenübergestellt. Das Dorf erscheint als Zufluchtsort und Lösung aller Probleme vor einem idyllischen, vogelzwitschernden Hintergrund. Die starke Polarisierung zwischen Stadt und Land, die Überforderung des Menschen im digitalen Zeitalter sowie der Umgang mit der Coronaepidemie werden narrativ durch gezielte Semantik verdeutlicht. Wie ein roter Faden zieht sich durch den Roman die ethisch-moralische Frage des Umgangs mit Rechtsradikalismus: "Trotzdem da sein, trotzdem Hilfe leisten, trotzdem weitermachen, wenn es um einen Menschen geht, egal wie er denkt, egal was er in der Vergangenheit getan hat, egal wie ,gut' oder ,schlecht' er ist?"

Die Validität bei der Bewertung sprachlicher Kompetenzen im Fach Deutsch als Fremdsprache steht in der vorliegenden Studie im Mittelunkt. Untersucht wird auf welche sprachlichen, textuellen und aufgabenbezogenen Aspekte die Bewertenden Wert legen, die Bewerterübereinstimmung schwedischer Bewertenden sowie wie sich schwedische Bewertungen schriftlicher Kompetenz zu den Niveaus des GER verhalten. Neben einer qualitativen thematischen Inhaltsanalyse bietet die Arbeit auch quantitativ angelegte statistische Berechnungen. Basierend auf den Ergebnissen werden didaktische Empfehlungen für den schulischen Fremdsprachenunterricht in Schweden gegeben. Dieses Buch wendet sich an Forschende und Praktiker im fremdsprachlichen Bereich, an Lernende, Lehrkräfte, Lehrwerksautoren und -autorinnen, Lehramtstudierende sowie weitere Akteure schulischer Bildung.

The articles collected in the book present a view of legal education in Central and Eastern Europe, considering the relationship between democracy and the Political. In this perspective, legal education is a forum for this articulation and an area for a discursive search for solutions. On the one hand, democracy is a continuous object of research for the legal academia; legal theorists and constitutionalists debate the juridical foundations of modern constitutionalism, democracy and the rule of law. On the other hand, as university teachers, legal academics contribute to shaping future lawyer-citizens by instilling in them a certain vision of civic virtues and democratic values.

The book deals with (unfortunately) a highly relevant question of extraordinary measures adopted in many countries in connection with the recent pandemic, and the impact of such measures on ownership rights and constitutional freedoms as a whole. Using the methods of synthesis, analysis and historical comparison, the researchers address this issue from different perspectives, starting with the origins of state-governed crisis management, through the theoretical status of such measures and their role in the legal system, to the question of liability for damages arising from their imposition and application. Based on a critical analysis of existing measures, the book provides feedback on their compliance with basic legal principles and suggests possible solutions of encountered problems.

The problems of people with disabilities are determined by the dynamics of interactions between them and the social environment in which they live. Therefore, the bio-psycho-socio-spiritual model of health is linked to the civilian model, accentuating the active participation in the social life of a particular community. The convergence of these models is present in the transdisciplinary content of the publication, which examines the quality of life of pupils in inclusive education in the Central European region. The authors identified specific limits and possibilities of the educational environment and its impact on the quality of life of children with disabilities. They explained the evidence-based practice and enhanced the competency-based approach to the persons involved in education, their relatives and multidisciplinary school teams.

In Crossroads of Jewish Bratislava, the author identifi es several key junctures that determined the history of Jews in Bratislava between the 19th and 21st centuries, especially in terms of their culture and way of life. The fi rst part of the book (History) provides an overview of historical milestones, with a particular emphasis on the two totalitarian regimes (the Wartime Slovak State and Communist Czechoslovakia 1948-1989). The second part, entitled Dilemmas, examines the current situation of Jewish cemeteries, the consequences of the Holocaust, and the ongoing transformations of Jewish holidays. The author's research leads to the conclusion that traditional manifestations of Jewish culture are being reshaped by factors of selectiveness, streamlining, and individualisation.

The book will contribute to the development of health sciences and the quality of patient care, with a total of 14 scientific original research articles of which eight are on physiotherapy and rehabilitation, five on nursing, and one on health management.
