Band 90 des Wiener Slawistischen Almanachs enthält zwei thematische Blöcke, der erste über den russischen Nihilismus des 19. Jhds («Russian as a Literary Project», hrsg. von Aleksandr Korchinskij und Kirill Zubkov) und der zweite über die Nostalgie als kulturwissenschaftliche Schlüsselkategorie der Gegenwart in Osteuropa («Jenseits der Nostalgie? Neuaneignungen des Spätsozialismus in osteuropäischen Gegenwartskulturen», hrsg. von Riccardo Nicolosi und Matthias Schwartz). Die thematischen Blöcke werden mit Aufsätzen zum italienischen Tamizdat sowie der zeitgenössischen russischen Sprache im Kontext der sog. «militärischen Spezial-Operation» in der Ukraine ergänzt.

Verbraucherinnen und Verbraucher sind zunehmend der Gefahr ausgesetzt, Opfer von Cyberkriminalität zu werden. Die Versicherungsbranche hat frühzeitig auf diese Entwicklung reagiert und sog. Cyberversicherungen auf den Markt gebracht. Cyberversicherungen richten sich vorrangig an Unternehmen, zunehmend aber auch an Privatpersonen. Die Cyberversicherung für Private hat sowohl in der Praxis als auch in der versicherungsrechtlichen Literatur bislang wenig Beachtung gefunden. Diese Forschungslücke schließt die vorliegende Arbeit, indem sie die private Cyberversicherung einer umfassenden rechtlichen Untersuchung unterzieht. Die Arbeit gliedert sich in drei Teile: Im ersten Teil wird geprüft, welche Cyberrisiken für Private existieren. Im zweiten Teil werden die aktuell in Deutschland angebotenen privaten Cyber-Versicherungsprodukte umfassend untersucht. Im dritten Teil der Arbeit werden Vorschläge entwickelt, wie die Versicherungsbedingungen verbessert werden können.

Les frontières entre la sphère privée et la sphère publique évoluent au fil du temps pour devenir aujourd'hui de plus en plus floues, notamment pour ce qui est de l'espace numérique et de nouveaux formats médiatiques. Ainsi, des personnages publics partagent des informations concernant leur vie privée lors des émissions télévisées et des particuliers publient des photos personnelles sur les réseaux sociaux pour se présenter face à un public inconnu, pour ne citer que quelques exemples. Les contributions regroupées dans ce volume abordent la question des limites entre privé et public de différents points de vue linguistiques en examinant l'espace numérique et le discours journalistique et télévisé sur la base de diverses méthodes. L'accent est mis sur la France, mais les études prennent également en compte l'Allemagne, la Suisse, la Roumanie et l'Italie.

This book intends to introduce recent studies on Turkish linguistics to a wide scientific readership of graduate students and scholars maximizing interdisciplinary contributions to the literature. The primary aim is to familiarise readers with useful and applicable approaches of theoretical and applied linguistics focusing on Turkish. Since linguistics is an interdisciplinary field, students and scholars from various disciplines like interactional sociolinguistics, translation studies, education, foreign language teaching, linguistic anthropology, cultural studies, psychology might also be interested in the content. This project is mainly research based, therefore suitable as a source book rather than a course book; however, it offers a better potential for insertion into interdisciplinary graduate courses like "readings in linguistics" or seminar modules in various social sciences. The book is structured on the basis of the diversity in 21st-century linguistics, taking into consideration large thematic blocks including micro and macro approaches to linguistics, focusing on Turkish.

Das zwischen der EU, ihren Mitgliedstaaten und Kanada als Freihandelsabkommen neuen Typs geschlossene CETA etabliert beschlussfassende Ausschussgremien mit weitreichenden Entscheidungsbefugnissen im Bereich der Handelspolitik. Obwohl das Abkommen eine supranationale Wirkung der Beschlüsse seiner Gremien ausschließt, kann ihre Einhaltung durch die EU-Mitgliedstaaten aufgrund anderer Verpflichtungen erforderlich sein. Um der Frage nachzugehen, wie eine ausreichende demokratische Rückbindung von Ausschusssystemen, wie nach dem CETA, gewährleistet werden kann, ohne die Flexibilisierung künftiger Zusammenarbeit der Vertragsparteien aufzuheben, eröffnet der Prinzipal-Agenten-Ansatz eine innovative Perspektive. So zeichnet die vorliegende Studie aus der Sicht der Bundesrepublik Deutschland die über die Landes-, Bundes-, und Unionsebene bis hin zu den nach dem CETA errichteten Vertragsgremien verlaufenden Delegationsketten nach und untersucht Mechanismen zu deren demokratischer Rückbindung.

Die Wirkungsgeschichte der Wittenberger Reformation in Bayern und von dort aus nach Nordamerika und in den Pazifik und den Ostasiatischen Raum wird im vorliegenden Band punktuell dargestellt.

Der Versuch von Investoren, aktiv Einfluss auf die Kapitalmärkte zu nehmen, ist ein bekanntes Phänomen. Das Interesse, die größtmögliche Wertsteigerung seiner Investitionen zu erreichen, ist nachvollziehbar und nicht überraschend. Durch den Paradigmenwandel in der Mediennutzung sind jedoch neue Möglichkeiten der Einflussnahme hinzugetreten. Das Internet und die sozialen Medien dezentralisieren Informationen und potenzieren Reichweiten- und Skaleneffekte. Beides sind zentrale Erfolgsfaktoren für Leerverkaufsattacken. Doch während Leerverkäufe historisch der Absicherung von Kursrückgängen dienten, sorgen Leerverkaufsattacken für spektakuläre Gewinne in kürzester Zeit. Mit diesen Gewinnen gehen spiegelbildliche Verluste von Aktionären einher, wodurch der Aufschrei in den Medien häufig groß ist. Doch Leerverkaufsattacken sind mehr als monokausale Ereignisse. Dieses Buch ist ein Versuch, Leerverkaufsattacken interdisziplinär einzuordnen und zivilrechtliche Haftungsfragen zu klären.

Mit dem Amt des Reichsgerichtspräsidenten war eine Schlüsselposition in der deutschen Justiz im späten Kaiserreich und der frühen Weimarer Republik verbunden. Richterbiographien sind jedoch generell und auch im Falle der Richter des Reichsgerichts selten. Der Autor folgt dem Lebensweg des heute nahezu unbekannten Juristen und entwirft vor dem Hintergrund der damaligen Methodendebatte ein u.a. auf die Analyse der Prozessakten des Reichsgerichts gestütztes Bild des Reichsgerichtspräsidenten und des Gerichtshofs im beginnenden 20. Jahrhundert. Der Autor zeichnet damit die - auch heute noch aktuelle - persönliche Dimension von Gerichtsentscheidungen aus der Glanzzeit des Reichsgerichts nach und bettet sie in die allgemeine Geschichte des Gerichtshofes ein.

The book explores a newly compiled corpus of American Gulf War captivity narratives, their claim to truth and their construction of identity and ideology, as well as concepts of heroism and anti-heroism. Moreover, it probes the texts' complex authorship, uncovers their role in promoting cultural stereotypes and in propagating violence. Hence, this study is deeply involved with uncovering narrative strategies of othering and with the construction of orientalist alterities. The findings are then connected to broader social debates in the USA. Unpacking themes of alterity, heroism, and violence, the research underscores the Gulf War captivity narratives' role in justifying aggression and in shaping U.S. American national identity, underscoring the need for continued scrutiny.

Der Band versammelt Beiträge der im Jahr 2021 veranstalteten Online-Tagung Neue Ansätze und Perspektiven zur sprachlichen Raumkonzeption und Geolinguistik. Der Fokus liegt auf Fallstudien aus der Romania und Germania, die sich mit der Verteilung, Ausgestaltung und Wahrnehmung sprachlicher Formen und ihrer Variation im Raum beschäftigten. Der Sammelband legt hierbei eine Definition des Konzepts "Sprachraum" im weiteren Sinne zugrunde, der zunächst als durch physische (d.h. geographische und humane) Faktoren geprägt verstanden wird, der llerdings auch durch multimediale Sprachverwendung und moderne Darstellungsformen und Erforschungsmethoden eine Erweiterung ins Digitale und Virtuelle erfahren kann. Die germanistischen und romanistischen Beiträge eröffnen neue Perspektiven für die Erforschung und die multimediale Darstellung der Sprachdynamiken realer und virtueller Räume und liefern in diesem Sinne neue Ansätze zur Geolinguistik.

This book examines the processes of symbolic cultivation of identity promoted by Armenian cultural elites in the Bulgarian city of Plovdiv, focusing on the transmission of positive language ideologies and emotional elements related to collective memory. Drawing on extensive ethnographic fieldwork, interviews, and a range of primary materials, this work sheds light on the role of the Armenian alphabet in legitimizing collective visions of 'distinctiveness' and of the Armenian Genocide remembrance in shaping non-exclusive, transnational patterns of belonging. While contributing to the study of the complex dynamics and challenges of 'Armenian survival' across space and time, it situates the issue in the unique context of Bulgaria, analyzing, moreover, the impact of proximity to Turkey.

This edited volume offers the first overview on human-animal history in the Baltics. Investigating historical entanglements between human and non-human animals from the pre-Christian times to the Soviet period and discussing a wide range of species, the volume integrates transnational study of Baltic history and culture with interdisciplinary human-animal studies. Taking the interrelatedness of species as a premise, the contributions focus on a variety of contacts and their representations in written, material, visual and other sources of Baltic history. Covering a time period of nearly one thousand years, the chapters also make it possible to trace continuity and change in Baltic human-animal history over extended periods.

The book is an attempt at a monographic approach to the problem of the reception of 17th-century Dutch painting in modern literature. However, the author deals not only with contemporary works but also with the texts of 19th-century writers and critics, most often French, who shaped the so-called myth of the Dutch Golden Age. Readers learn the historically conditioned models of perception of 17th-century Dutch painting. The original achievement is the genre key, which is a consequence of the thesis on the mediation of the 20th-century reception of Dutch Golden Age painting in 19th-century European literature and art criticism. Contemporary writers are revising the concept of realism; they cannot talk about Vermeer's View of Delft without referring to Proust's petit pan de mur jaune. They read still lifes through Chardin and Cézanne or revive the myth of Rembrandt - a self-portraitist who analyzed himself. Also noteworthy is the section devoted to the little Dutch masters - Willem Dyster, Pieter de Hooch, Hendrick Avercamp, Hercules Seghers and Pieter Saenredam.

La microtextualidad comprende una amplia gama de formas breves con mayor o menor entidad genérica que han ido recibiendo diferentes denominaciones a lo largo de su historia hasta el punto de configurar un campo semántico tan fértil como confuso. Este libro ofrece una visión transversal del aforismo hispánico de los siglos XX y XXI, con especial énfasis en las profundas ambigüedades estéticas y genológicas sobre las que se articula el polisistema literario en su encrucijada analógica y digital. En este sentido, se aborda el fenómeno de la brevedad y del aforismo a nivel teórico y práctico, así como se analizan las principales tendencias de la aforística contemporánea en español.

Computergestützte Transkription empirischer Sprachdaten ist ein Grundinstrument verschiedener linguistischer Ansätze. Die schriftbasierte (orthografische) Rekonstruktion gesprochener Sprache stößt auf Hindernisse, wenn die Daten mehrsprachige, varietätenreiche und polydialektale Interaktionsprozesse dokumentieren. Dies gilt umso stärker, je unterschiedlicher die Schriftsysteme sind und je lückenhafter die orthografische Kodifizierung der standardfernen Sprachformen ist. Ein Beispiel ist die Transkription arabisch-deutscher Gespräche: Wie lässt sich gesprochenes Arabisch gesprächsanalytisch verschriften und übersetzen? Welche Möglichkeiten bieten lateinbasierte Umschriften? Diese Arbeit schlägt eine Systematik auf der Grundlage von Beratungsgesprächen vor, die per Telefon gedolmetscht wurden.

Die Psalmen gehören zu den bekanntesten und beliebtesten Büchern der Bibel. Die zwölf dem "Asaph" zugeschriebenen Psalmen (Ps 50; 73-83) sind zwar weniger bekannt als andere, aber nicht weniger wichtig. Mit den Asaph-Psalmen als Einzelpsalmen, als Gruppe sowie mit ihren Eigenheiten und Verbindungen zu anderen biblischen Texten hat sich der Verfasser seit vielen Jahren intensiv beschäftigt. Daraus ist eine Reihe von Beiträgen entstanden, die in verschiedenen Zeitschriften, Sammelbänden und Festschriften veröffentlich wurden. Im vorliegenden Band sind zehn von ihnen gesammelt und werden in einer überarbeiteten und aktualisierten Form neu zugänglich gemacht. Hinzu kommen zwei umfangreiche Studien zu den Psalmen 78 und 81, die hier erstmals veröffentlicht werden.

Although the prominence of Matthew's anti-Jewish polemic has been widely recognized in recent years, curiously little attention has thus far been given to the contribution made by chapters 11 and 12 to this theme. Often dismissed as a loose compendium of controversy-stories, this narrative section actually displays a solid, thematic unity dealing with the tragic fact of Jesus'rejection by the covenant people, Israel. Matthew's usually thoughtful style is evident in these chapters as he proceeds in a quite independent manner to clarify the unexpectedly humble nature of the messianic mission, the consequences of its rejection and the identity of the true people of God.

Ce livre rassemble les traductions françaises des commentaires des Pères de l'Église qui concernent le cycle biblique d'Élie, et des oeuvres dont l'intitulé se réfère explicitement au prophète. Cet ouvrage tient notamment compte des études parues les trente dernières années, durant lesquelles des textes alors inaccessibles ont pu être édités, et sont ici traduits en français pour la première fois, comme la première et longue homélie sur Élie de Jacques de Saroug, celle de Narsaï, Sur Hénoch et Élie. Le dossier liturgique d'Élie se trouve ainsi enrichi par la traduction d'une acolouthie grecque récemment éditée et par celle des hymnes géorgiennes de la liturgie, consacrées à Élie. Enfin, un ensemble de textes grecs et syriaques offre une thématique commune: face au zèle intempestif d'Élie, Dieu apparaît comme amour miséricordieux pour les hommes, soumis au prophète qui est tout à Lui, et en qui les Pères reconnaissent le type du Christ.

Wie wirkte sich das differierende Menschenbild auf das professionelle Handeln der Fürsorger aus? Haben die Machtverhältnisse in der DDR-Diktatur eine Beratungstätigkeit nach heutigem Verständnis sogar ganz verhindert?Die qualitativen Befragungen von DDR-Fürsorgern als Experten und Zeitzeugen decken Unterschiede und Gemeinsamkeiten auf, die mittels der Grounded Theorie kritisch reflektiert und eingeordnet werden - nicht zuletzt auch im Hinblick auf heutige Rahmenbedingungen und Reflexionsprozesse in der Sozialen Arbeit.

Given that VUCA (volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity) is a reality on the world stage, specifically military forces must regularly grapple with such situations and deal with potentially harmful consequences. These serving members must be able to cope effectively with the inevitable stressors associated with demanding circumstances or suffer significant physical and psychological consequences. Twenty-three scholars from eight countries provide well-reasoned and empirically sound guidance on best navigating these inevitable and pervasive uncertainties. Although there are no universal solutions, the advice presented in this volume offers hope and wisdom to allow our serving members to emerge victorious despite excessive pressures and challenges.
