The range of featured languages ¿ Arabic, Armenian, Kurdish, Persian and Turkish ¿ include three separate families connected only by geographical proximity, each with an extremely rich literary tradition. The dictionary covers multiple independent phenomena in several unrelated languages, the underlying idea being that their reduplications are all somehow connected, and that there exists a general «field» of reduplication. The book is not limited to a single field, but rather for several largely separate ones, such as linguistic relations, the theory of reduplication and etymology. Several other related or unrelated languages such as Icelandic, Japanese, Egyptian Hieroglyphics, Hittite, etc. have been included for comparative purposes.The preliminary findings of this study indicate that reduplication in the languages under study, and in nearly all other languages, deal mostly with the fundamental, primary human requirements. Another strong proof of the «universality» of reduplicates are that they closely follow the same and similar formation, development and rule in most related and unrelated languages. In consequence of the universality of reduplication and its near identical development in all related or unrelated languages, it even legitimizes the creation of a grammar of reduplication in the future. A few of the essential features of this book include: a complete revision and updating of the semantics; a particular attention to the cognitive aspects; and, many etymologies that cannot be found elsewhere.

Der Autor zeigt auf, dass auch Jahre nach Einführung der Abgeltungsteuer keine klare Einigkeit herrscht, wie grundsätzlich Verluste aus der privaten Aktienbeteiligung steuerlich zu behandeln sind. Neben den zu erarbeitenden gesetzlichen Grundlagen aus dem Verlustblickwinkel einer Aktienbeteiligung liegt der Schwerpunkt u. a. in der Auseinandersetzung mit der hierzu bereits ergangenen Rechtsprechung. Als Ergebnis kommt der Autor zu dem Schluss, dass die ertragsteuerliche Verlustberücksichtigung aus privaten Aktiengeschäften nach Einführung der Abgeltungsteuer systematisch systemwidrig und verfassungsrechtlich verfassungswidrig ist.

Die vorliegende Arbeit untersucht die Form und Funktion der auf China bezogenen multimodalen Zeichenverwendungen im öffentlichen Raum in Deutschland; diese werden als China-Repräsentationen bezeichnet. Die China-Repräsentationen werden als konstitutive Zeichenressourcen bei der Ortsherstellung verstanden. Ein interdisziplinäres Merkmal des Projekts besteht in der Kombination der Grounded-Theory-Methodologie sowie der Ethnografie mit diskurslinguistischen Methoden. Ziel der Untersuchung ist es, empirisch gestützte Aussagen über den untersuchten Diskurs der China-Repräsentation zu treffen und hierbei eine Grounded Theory zu entwerfen.

Under the particular conditions of the time and place, both art forms underwent significant developments which challenged the status of each form. Do African American lives matter to the nation¿s press? And if they do, how does the press demonstrate this? These are the driving questions of this book, for which the author employed content analysis of eight U.S. newspapers with national or statewide readership to explore their coverage of the Black Lives Matter movement. More specifically the research examines how these newspapers covered police beatings and slayings of unarmed African Americans, beginning with the brutal beating of Rodney King by Los Angeles police in 1991, through the killings of these citizens after that, taking in victims that include the 1995 beating and ensuing death of Jonny Gammage at the hands of police in suburban Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the 2014 slaying of Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri, and ending with the 2020 slaying of George Floyd in Minneapolis, Minnesota. These narratives took in far more than the fatal incidents. They included local and national protests, some of them violent; political fallout from presidents and senators to governors and mayors; funeral services that drew local and national civil-rights leaders and religious figures; and neighborhoods impacted and residents¿ lives upended ¿ all reported in varying degrees of depth and focus by the local and national newspapers.

This volume explores how Jansenism was transmitted into Central European literatures and how it shaped the concept of literature in the region. It investigates how and through which translators, publishers and patrons Jansenist ideas, texts and readings arrived in this area; how, to what extent, in what form and with what transfers these ideas impacted literature. The authors connect research methodologies that have traditionally been used separately from each other. Another objective is to systematize and critically evaluate earlier results while also revealing new sources. The volume puts moralist and anthropological discourses of Jansenist influence into a new perspective, with an emphasis on their links to literary and cultural history, aesthetics and the history of ideas.

Angesichts ihres beeindruckenden Umfangs sowie der hohen Qualität der Präparate stellt die Sammlung ein einzigartiges Dokument humanembryologischer Forschungsmethoden des späten 19. und frühen 20. Jahrhunderts dar. Der vorliegende Band geht der Frage nach, weshalb Schnittseriensammlungen zu zentralen Forschungsobjekten von Embryologen wurden. Die Autorin zeigt zudem anhand von Archivmaterial und mit der Marburger Sammlung in Zusammenhang stehenden Publikationen, woher die Marburger Präparate stammten, wie sie verarbeitet wurden und welcher embryologische Erkenntnisgewinn sich aus ihnen bis ins 21. Jahrhundert hinein ergibt.

Im Mittelpunkt der stiftungsrechtlichen Gesetzgebung in beiden Ländern steht wesentlich die gemeinsame Absicht, zur Förderung des Stiftungswesens beizutragen und vor allem die Transparenz der Stiftung zu erhöhen. Dies zeigt sich besonders deutlich in der grundlegenden Reform des deutschen Stiftungsrechts aus dem Jahr 2021. Hierbei spielt die Kontrolle der Stiftung eine wichtige Rolle. In dieser Arbeit untersucht die Autorin deshalb drei Kon-trollen der Stiftung (stiftungsinterne Kontrolle, staatliche Stiftungsaufsicht und öffentliche Kontrolle) nach deutschem und koreanischem Recht. Ethnic classification is the process of establishing standards, such as shared ancestry, language, religious practices, cultural traditions, and geographical distributions, for categorizing ethnic groups. Tracing the history of China to its tribal origins, the book explores how the identities of the numerous ethnic groups in China were established and how these groups interact with one another. By comparing and contrasting exonyms and autonyms, the authors offer an insightful ethnographic analysis of the system for assigning ethnonyms. Das Buch stellt die Konstruktion als deutschdidaktisches Tätigkeitsfeld neu vor. Mit Konstruktion sind all jene Tätigkeitsbereiche gemeint, in denen die Fachdidaktik produktiv auf Lehr- und Lernprozesse einwirkt ¿ in denen sie also Lehren und Lernen nicht nur forschend beobachtet und reflektiert, sondern auch aktiv mitgestaltet und entwickelt. Autorinnen und Autoren aus Deutschdidaktik und Schule diskutieren und reflektieren die Konstruktion aus unterschiedlichen Perspektiven. Das Buch plädiert für eine Stärkung der Konstruktion in der Didaktik im Sine einer Aufwertung wie einer Professionalisierung.

Das Ziel dieser Arbeit ist es, einen Überblick über das Verhältnis von Antidiskriminierungsrecht und Kündigungsschutzrecht zu geben und hierbei vor allem das deutsche das türkische Recht in den Blick zu nehmen. Dazu werden zunächst die theoretischen Grundlagen dargestellt, indem die Entwicklung, Ziele und Kritikpunkte des Antidiskriminierungs- und des Kündigungsschutzrechts analysiert werden. Es folgt eine Untersuchung des internationalen und supranationalen Arbeitsrechts im Hinblick auf den Schutz vor diskriminierenden Arbeitgeberkündigungen. Den Schwerpunkt der Arbeit bilden der Vergleich der Rechtsordnungen der Bundesrepublik Deutschland und der Republik der Türkei in Bezug auf das Antidiskriminierungs- und das Kündigungsschutzrecht sowie die spannungsreiche Wechselbeziehung der beiden Rechtsgebiiete, zu der es bei diskriminierenden Kündigungen kommt.

Unter Analyse der rechtlichen Rahmenbedingungen werden mögliche Ursachen für die ausbleibenden Betriebsratsgründungen aufgezeigt. In Betracht kommen insbesondere die Freiwilligkeit der Betriebsratsbildung, die Ausgestaltung des Kündigungsschutzes, die Gefahr der Wahlbehinderung und -beeinflussung sowie die Art der Betriebsratswahl. Der politische Umbruch im Donau-Karpatenraum am Ende des 17. Jahrhunderts erweist sich als tiefe Zäsur. Schrittweise verändern sich die Rahmenbedingungen, die im Laufe des 18. La aceleración de la modernidad tardía, estudiada por los sociólogos P. Virilio, N. Aubert, H. Rosa, afecta a diversas artes como el cine, el vídeo. Partiendo de las teorías sociológicas, el análisis detenido del teatro, considerado habitualmente como un género al margen de este fenómeno, muestra que la representación de la aceleración está cada vez más presente en él. Los autores de este libro, desde distintas perspectivas, analizan las principales características formales así como la tematización de la aceleración en los diálogos, revelando diversas representaciones de la aceleración en los textos dramáticos contemporáneos, principalmente españoles, y en el espectáculo teatral.

El trabajo está dedicado al análisis formal de las construcciones verbonominales (CVN) en el dominio jurídico de la protección frente al cambio climático.
