Inspiriert von der Vielfalt unserer Gesellschaft wird Vertrautes mit Zeitgenössischem vereint. Bei der Sanierung des berühmten Konzertlokals "Mühle Hunziken" in Rubigen wurde etwa der einmalige Dialog von Kunst, Brocki und Architektur in einem ganz eigenen Vokabular weitergesponnen, um die Räumlichkeiten den veränderten Nutzerbedürfnissen anzupassen.

Von Georges Addor, Dominique Julliard, Jacques Bolliger und Louis Payot zwischen 1963 und 1971 erbaut, ist sie eine der grössten Wohnsiedlungen der Schweiz und steht seit 2009 unter Denkmalschutz. Die seit 2012 sukzessive erfolgte Renovierung beruht auf zahlreichen Studien und Entwürfen und betrifft folgende Bereiche: Erneuerung der Gemeinschaftsräume; Anpassung an die Brandschutzvorschriften und Sanierung der technischen Installationen; Optimierung der Verkehrswege und der thermischen Leistung der Fassaden. The Cité, which was built between 1963 and 1971 by Georges Addor, Dominique Julliard, Jacques Bolliger and Louis Payot, is one of the largest housing estates in Switzerland and has been preservation-listed since 2009. Renovation measures, which have been ongoing since 2012, are based on numerous studies and designs, addressing the following fields: renewing the communal spaces, adapting to fire-safety regulations and renovating technical installations, optimising circulation routes and improving the façades' thermal performance. The building envelope was renovated on the basis of studies by the TSAM laboratory at the EPFL. Building work on the over 1,000 apartments was carried out during running operations, whereby a large number of participating trades endeavoured to minimise disturbance to the residents. The book lets the main protagonists in this team task speak for themselves in a series of interviews. Leo Fabrizio and Paola Corsini have photographically documented the building stages from their own perspectives.

2007 gründete Timothée Giorgis sein Büro in Genf, 2015 stiess Juan Rodriguez hinzu. Seither ist eine beachtliche Anzahl von Wohnbauten, Sanierungen und eine grosse Anlage mit Gemeinde- und Schulhaus in Satigny bei Genf entstanden. Diese ist mit einer ruhigen Geste behutsam in die Landschaft eingebettet. 2006 gründete Laurent de Wurstemberger mit zwei Partnern das Atelier ar-ter in Carouge sowie 2011 zusammen mit dem Materialwissenschaftler Rodrigo Fernandez die Firma Terrabloc, die Aushubmaterial von Baustellen zu verdichteten Lehmblocksteinen verarbeitet. 2018 eröffnete er sein Architekturbüro in Genf und realisiert seitdem eine Reihe kleinerer, raffinierter Projekte, unter anderem die Sanierung eines Bauernhofes in Choully.In 2006, Laurent de Wurstemberger founded the Atelier ar-ter in Carouge with two partners, and in 2011, along with the material scientist Rodrigo Fernandez, the company Terrabloc, which turns excavated material from construction sites into compacted clay blocks. One striking building is the residential house on Langrütstrasse in Zurich.
