Without apparent rhyme or reason, a young army corporal is assigned the somber task of escorting the body of a fellow soldier to Chicago, Illinois. Stationed in San Antonio, Texas, the corporal neither knows the deceased soldier, and nor is he, himself, a native of Chicago. Therefore, the selected escort is immediately taken aback by the venture. Personally, he considers himself ill-prepared and somewhat miscast in the endeavor. However, upon taking an in-depth view of the corporal''s foregoing life, he could be underestimating himself. The distinct path travelled by the corporal, replete with peaks and valleys, groomed and prepared him dearly. To say the least, for him - it was a LONG AND WINDING ROAD.

America is built on the foundation of RACISM and protest. Some people don''t understand what it is like to always be on guard. I would like to share with the rest of the world some of the things that I have experienced in regards to my son''s military career, teaching, students, marriages, and personal walks as a man of God. After the world takes the time to embrace the experiences that I have, It will give them an opportunity to rethink some of their actions, embrace their relationships with their significant others, family members, and people in general. There is also some light hearted poetry that I hope will put a smile on your face and warmth in your heart. Thank you in advance for allowing me the opportunity to share my experiences with you.

Friends Here...There...Everywhere...focuses on encouraging children to discover healthy friendships during their first encounter outside home. It uses everyday events to strengthen community awareness, and suggests ways to make and keep friends. It also teaches children about opposites and adverbs. Friends here...There...Everywhere...provides opportunities for children and adults to discuss the meaning of friendship and becoming good citizens or positive community role models. The characters Brandi, Salvatore, Lee, Lori, and Erika enjoy playing together, pretending, sharing, and caring for each other. They explore their community and build friendships that remain through out time. Young children will find the cartoon images playful and enjoyable. This book will appeal to readers because it is educational, age appropriate, easy to read, and has attractive colorful pictures that stimulate a child''s imagination, so, they can confidently dream, interact and make friends. The characters are positive role models. Also, adults have an opportunity to share their childhood memories, strengthen relationship bonds and develop more effective communication.

This book was written as fiction but the incidences and events are based on true stories. It is fifty years since they happened and most of the characters are deceased. Although there are many sad stories in the book the real lesson is that the troubles that occur between the professional staff and management is all too real today in the American healthcare system.

This small book is designed to be read by teachers or parents to children ages 4 to 7. It addresses the needs of youngsters who are affected by the constraints of home schooling and the need to find a community of their peers. Yasmin tells the children that they can free their minds by doing Yoga poses, modeled by the cat, and practicing mindfulness and gratitude thinking in the frame of meditation. The poem Yasmin tells the children is about practices they can do to make them happier. In a classroom, the book reading and the two elements of yoga poses and mindfulness, are in a group setting. Even if the group is virtual, there is a sense of belonging to an activity that is shared. It is expected that adults will expand on the message of Yasmin by making this a daily routine to ensure a calming and thoughtful start to each lesson or daily activity.
