This poetry collection explores the dark, scary, solitary journey from Maiden to Mother. This transformation is one you traverse blind, one whose process is known by every other mother, but one of which nothing is spoken. It is one that is filled with love, loneliness, and learning; one that can rip you raw and cuddle you close. Women, all women, are divine creatures. They are portals to new lives and, thus, new worlds. They are all artists. Their default mode is "creator". Leticia realised that she could only know this now because of a specific rite of passage: Motherhood. This extraordinary work shines a light on one of the most powerful moments in women's lives: Hidden, private, and blessed.

MOLLYMoving to Seattle is supposed to be all about getting a fresh start and leaving the bitter man I was becoming behind.I have new roommates-quirky, sometimes strange, roommates-a nosy, next door neighbor and a grumpy kitty for company, but even surrounded by people, I still don't feel like I belong. Plus, it turns out the men in Seattle are exactly the same as the ones I left behind, and my string of romantic disconnections continues. It's not until one of my roommates, Seven, hits me with some hard truths that I realize where I was going wrong.Maybe the men aren't the problem.I am.And there's only one way to fix that.SEVENBeing found tied up naked to my bed by my cute new roommate isn't an ideal way for us to start a friendship. But apparently a quid-pro-quo is.He keeps his pretty lips zipped about the compromising position, and I step in as his dating coach. We go out, I note where he's going wrong, and he magically becomes dating material. The problem is, between my codependent brother Xander and a new best friend I can't get rid of, Molly and I are the target of a matchmaking scheme. My life is way too busy to add another person to it, and Molly is the kinda guy who needs to be made a priority, which I just can't do. Xander's medical anxiety takes up too much of my time, and I've never found a partner who doesn't resent it.I'm determined to help Molly find his ever after. But that guy will never be me.

If we remain contained within the walls of our own lived experiences, to the exclusion of an understanding of that of others, we run the risk of falling short of the mark and making peace with mediocrity. Eight picaresque ballads of life in the East Midlands - and sometimes on the seashore - by mild mannered anarchist & writer Martin Costello. The elder boys carried the old sofa to the end of the pier, and the family set it up looking outward across the water so that they might catch an early sight of the ferry. They took turns on the watch through the long late afternoon, the children happily amusing themselves on the pier, under the pier, behind the sofa, in the mud, in the shallows, in the empty car park, on the roof of the ticket hut, up and down the ferry lane, along the grassy dunes of the strand, on the smooth round rocks of the tide wall and around the skirts of the mother Bidna to her passing amusement and then impatience and then amusement again. As evening threatened, a dog-walker from the lane helpfully called out that there would be no ferries that day, on account of the coming storm. The story the author had always been trying to write is not included in this collection but happily is now complete after 22 years of editing.

Popular Christian speaker and comedian Karen McCracken is bringing her inspirational message for women in book 2 from the Woman Inspired series, Woman Stand Firm. Women today struggle to search for an identity. Social media, constantly changing cultural norms and secular forces tell women what they should believe and feel. Woman Stand Firm is a message that is inspiring and encouraging women all across the globe as so many women are lost, hurting, wondering who they are and what their purpose is. Often times we're told we're not enough or we're too much. The hurt you feel, the roles you play, the titles you earn, the labels you wear, are not your identity. It's time to change the thinking that compels women to become something other than who they were born to be. "I wrote this book for women everywhere as a fresh battle cry to empower women to pick up their armor and be prepared to fight the battle to be who they were called to be." Karen McCracken. "Women, we CAN stand firm!" Be sure to check out Woman Let Go (book 1 in the Woman Inspired series) along with its companion Forgiveness Journal. .
