"Benji and Pals: The Little Thieves Who Learned to Ask" is a delightful addition to your child's book collection! This captivating story revolves around a group of mouse siblings who can't resist the temptation of cake. Despite Granny's warnings, they embark on a daring mission, leading to an unexpected encounter with the crafty cat, Tame. As they navigate this thrilling adventure, the mice learn a valuable lesson about the consequences of making wrong choices. At the same time, poor Benji roams the streets in search of food."Benji and Pals: The Little Thieves Who Learned to Ask" beautifully highlights the significance of sharing, caring, and, above all, always asking for permission rather than taking things without consent. It's a powerful tool for instilling essential values in your child in an engaging and entertaining manner.
The poems in In a Body will take you to Fire Island dunes, Jamaica Bay marshes, inside a glacial moraine, and beneath the forest to the mycorrhizal network. Emily Hockaday's speaker is as likely to be pouring alcohol down a drain as inspecting horseshoe crab eggs with her child. With her, we learn to be still and to look at the micro. We walk the line between "tame/and not tame." Through a feminist and ecopoetic lens, Hockaday considers the ecosystem of the ill body contrasted with the ecosystems around us. In addition to themes of ecology and chronic pain, this collection touches on parenting, grief, sobriety, and the urban environment. How do chronic fatigue and pain isolate a person? Can nature provide connection in the face of this isolation? These are questions In a Body strives to answer. This collection looks to plant, fungal, animal, and geological bodies as a way of trying to understand humanity's place in the Universe while also grappling with chronic illness.
How do we honor our dead and remember where we come from? Self-Portrait with Ghosts of the Diaspora is a memorial and a map, a pile of stones on the graves of Meghan Sterling's Jewish ancestors. A testament to what is said and what is unsaid, these poems are woven with bits of stories she overheard or invented as a child. Self-Portrait with Ghosts of the Diaspora braids poems detailing Sterling's life in modern-day America as a secular Jew raising her daughter, named after her beloved grandmother, with poems of her great-grandparents' and grandparents' experiences navigating a new country after fleeing wars across the ocean. In this collection, Sterling offers a glimpse into a fading history.

Refused a Second Date is a love letter to the romantic, platonic, and familial relationships that shape us. Most importantly, it is a love letter to the author's mother who shaped how they navigate relationships.

Songea, Tanzania, Africa - 2018. The Mission: Preach the Gospel to those who had never heard it, make disciples, and bring the Kingdom of light into the places of darkness. A Missionary attacked by spirits. Ethereal spirits, manifesting spirits, and spirits that influenced fellow missionaries. But those were not the only spirits running wild in Africa. The Spirit of the Lord was the guid- ing force with warnings of attacks to come. She didn't fully under- stand the magnitude of the relentless offense that was to come her way, until it began to unfold. Even then, she would not shirk back. Jezebel, Witches, Legion... none could stop the mission she was on. No matter what occurred, she and her partner would not be swayed from their preordained appointments from God. From verbal assaults to physically being assaulted in the deliverance tents of Africa, noth- ing would stop the mission. The enemy was poised to stop every effort and direction to block every path and to hinder or sabotage the messenger. Yet Faith and the Power of God destroyed the enemy's best efforts. When taking this journey with the author, take note of how time and time again, the enemy ramps up their efforts, but God's mission will not be stopped or delayed. God increases his power and protection over the faithful while the enemy scrabbles to get footing.
Dispersion - Dawn of a New Knight is the final book in the Templar Chronicles series. In the first book, Betrayed - Darkness Engulfs the Knight, I began the tale of a small band of fugitives of the October 13, 1307 arrest. The small contingent of Templars was entrusted with a secret, even they didn't know the details of. In book two, Fugitives - Stripped of the Cross, I continue with the travels and trials of the individuals as they strive to deal with the great injustice that has befallen them. The final book in the series, Dispersion - Dawn of a New Knight, follows the path of the remaining Templars as they cope with the upheaval caused by the greed and corruption of those they once served. They must discover new purposes in a world that wants to cast them aside.
Darkness Engulfs the Knight Vol 1 of The Templar Chronicle.By Tony MarvinDarkness Engulfs the Knight is a historical fiction covering the time period following the arrest of the Knights Templar. This book is the first in a series of three volumes that will present what the author believes may have happened with the Knights and assets that have never been accounted for following the October 13, 1307 arrest of the Templar's by King Phillip of France. We know that many of the Knights who were not in Paris, France on the day of the arrest have been unaccounted for in the surviving records. In addition, there is no record showing what became of the great wealth and Holy Relics that the Templar's are believed to have possessed. There is also the fleet of Templar ship, which some histories have claimed was the largest fleet in the world at that time, that has never been accounted for. What became of all these people and assets? There are many theories regarding the Templar's and their wealth. Many of these ideas fall into the category of conspiracy theories and other sound so far-fetched as to be no better than fantasy. While some wish to dismiss anything about the Templar's following the Popes disbanding of the Order in 1312, others believe the Templar's have survived to the present and control all the major governments of the world. In the books of The Templar Chronicle, Tony Marvin has written a historical fiction presenting what he believes may have happened. The author has spent many years researching this topic and hopes to shed new light on this centuries-old mystery.Books in the seriesBetrayal - Darkness Engulfs the KnightFugitives - Stripped of the Cross
