Flashbacks from a Roller Coaster Ride is about how we learn and change as we progress through life's experiences. We sometimes feel we have little control over our destinies, and chaos takes over. It is important to pick up the pieces and carry on with the best intent we can muster. Sometimes we must look at ourselves from a great height, remaining as detached as we are able. This eventually enables us to reassemble and build, again becoming useful to others having a rough time. Good intent is rewarding. The trick is in keeping ourselves on track. When we do, miracles become reality.

He told his friends that he saw a strange building and men with guns while he was in the woods. They don't believe him so, even though he's afraid, he takes them in to show them. The boys eventually see what Logan had seen. They were afraid to tell their parents since they knew they weren't supposed to be there. They decide to investigate on their own. The boys make a pact to not tell any grown-up about this until they know what's going on. They decide to try to get information from anyone that might help them put the pieces of the mystery together. Lily Fairchild is a novel about a remarkable woman, born in the backwoods of Lambton County, Ontario in 1840. Lily's struggle to survive and grow and discover her place in the scheme of things is complicated not only by the ordinary travail of pioneer living but by the impact of historical events themselves: the railroads and their cutthroat competition, the Riel Rebellions, the First World War and the influenza pandemic of 1918. During her long life Lily witnesses the birth of a nation and the founding and rise of her home village of Point Edward. Lily Fairchild is part history and part fable, replete with historical personages and a bizarre gallery of local characters. It is ultimately a story of survival and loss, about aging and the changes it brings, and about the role of memory itself.Don Gutteridge is the author of seventy books: poetry, fiction and scholarly works in pedagogical theory and practice. He has published thirty-seven books of poetry and twenty-two novels, including the twelve-volume Marc Edwards mysteries. I wrote this book to assist my healing and to answer the question I was asked most often "Why did you stay for so long?" I hope to create awareness of abusive relationships by telling my story of how it began, why I stayed for as long as I did and what I had to do to start the healing process. It is my vision to educate some and give hope to others. This is proof that there is life after Domestic Violence.
Sensory processing disorder and anxiety look 'normal'. People do not understand what else is happening, how the brain is processing so much information. Some people think they also have a right to comment on this disorder as if we are naughty, lazy, or just not smart. We live in a circle, our sensory issues feed our anxiety, our anxiety feeds our sensory overload. And around and around we go. Until we can get help. Sensory processing is different in each person. Some people feel more, some take longer to process whats being said. I am not a professional. I do not have a degree to speak about this. I live it each day. A chance to view a world a little different, A chance to explain to children how Anxiety and Sensory processing disorder effects our life and out thinking. Written by a mother who lives it day in and day out. Please share kindness and acceptance.
