In March, 1839, "Bishop-in-Waiting" John Strachan, delivers a fiery sermon that has unexpected consequences-including the very brutal and public murder of a suspected "sodomite." Church politics and the ongoing political debate following the arrival of Lord Durham's Report complicate the investigation started by Constable Cobb and Marc Edwards. A culprit is soon found, but Marc suspects he was a hired assassin and that someone higher up in society is pulling the strings. A number of gentlemen, including members of the clergy, appear to have motive .The trail eventually leads Marc to New York (via the Erie Canal), where the victim's sordid past requires his attention. There he is surprised to meet two women whom he thought never to see again. Meanwhile Cobb continues to investigate on his own, boldly confronting members of the Family Compact, with mixed results. Finally, with the help of the two women and that of the victim's ward, Marc finally unearths the horrifying and unexpected truth. He returns to Toronto in time to meet his newborn child and resolve the case.Don Gutteridge was born in Sarnia and raised in the nearby village of Point Edward. He taught High School English for seven years, later becoming a Professor in the Faculty of Education at Western University, where he is now Professor Emeritus. He is the author of more than seventy books: poetry, fiction and scholarly works in pedagogical theory and practice. He has published twenty-two novels, including the twelve-volume Marc Edwards mystery series, and forty books of poetry, one of which, Coppermine, was short-listed for the 1973 Governor-General's Award. In 1970 he won the UWO President's Medal for the best periodical poem of that year, "Death at Quebec." To listen to interviews with the author, go to: http://thereandthen.podbean.com. The Power of One book has a twofold purpose. (1) To show the influence of a single Saint, who trusts the Word of God, could change the world. The Bible is straightforward: For nothing is impossible with "the Author of all things," Luke 1:37, (NIV84). (2) To point out how Christian bodies working in concert as one Body of Jesus Christ can be progressive for millions. As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another-Proverbs 27:17 (NIV84).

INTRODUCTION Greetings, my lovely, my name is Shaman Storm, and I have been involved in spirituality for more than thirty years, in that time I have worked as a reader on telephone lines, I have cleared negative energies from peoples lives and cleared many homes, I also work with nature a lot, meditation and proper eating is an essential part of daily living and energy intake when we eat things that are not natural the body has a hard time digesting and has difficulty in ridding the body of toxins that have an adverse effect on your body and they way it channels its energy, I believe that we live on a living breathing planet. So it is fair to say that Energy is the basis for for all living things on this planet, so when we need to fuel our bodies, We need to eat right ? .what if we could choose foods that had specific vibrations corresponding to our chakras .There by giving our bodies a helping hand to raise the chakras vibration and recharge it ? With this knowledge, I believe that is possible and with meditation and proper eating as an essential part of daily living and energy intake when we eat things that are not natural our body has a hard time digesting it and as a result it has difficulty in ridding the body of toxins that have an adverse effect on our bodies energy field and the way it channels its energy, you can eat for fuel and eat to support your chakras energy flow. Also further into the book I will give you a list of yoga poses that will help you to keep the energy path clear and clean, this is important because if we have any blockages it can result in a physical manifestation of illness, No one wants to be sick .

Just as each process in creating a Sweet Potato Pudding is necessary, so it is with us. Life happens, so we adjust, we learn, and we grow. The messages in this book offer hope, clarity, and inspiration. Receive each message with an open heart.

This is a collection of poems that follow me back to my younger days. These poems reveal some of the darkest moments of my life, in addition to the most overwhelmingly happy ones. They're based on observations, both fictional and factual. They embrace the intersections of life and death. They reflect nature and its preposterous hold on my soul. These poems have emanated from notebooks, napkins, text messages with my brother, the imaginations of my kids, my romance with my loving wife, and various other ingredients of the life the poems seek to illustrate. They are a journey, embarking into my love for writing and the curiousness of everyday life. This journey seems to be indefinite...

Congratulations, you are about to discover why your everyday moments, experiences, casual encounters and even conflicts are more meaningful than you may think. This book is a story about people like you. The lapsing of time elevates the importance of stories and those individuals responsible and so what follows is a sample of the more notable and memorable. You are going to be taken back in time a little, my time but if you are looking for deep and meaningful, you'll be disappointed. However, if you want to know more about the tribe of people known to the rest of the world as the Scots and you fancy being amused, bewildered, enthralled, bothered, confused, emotionally challenged and provoked or even slightly pissed off, then read on. There are of course no guarantees nor do I think literary acclaim awaits, quite simply this book was written for my pleasure and your entertainment - enjoy.

The Nice Stone is a story about a pleasant land called Bliss, whose niceness hid a malevolent force. Hover, the story itself is written with a humorous and lighthearted style style.Eventually the King (called Albus) went to an evil wizard to find out about this niceness infecting his domain. Here he took a potion to turn him feral and which unleashed changes in Bliss. Eventually the evil wizard, Lord Olrich and his spellmaster Bangot set out to defeat the Stone. this was done with the help of a goblin in the evil castle, who eventually turned out to be an Elven Lord called Elbaroth, the keeper of the Bane Stones. After several adventures, they arrived in Castle Portangh where 12 Bane Stones were found- these were companions to this Nice Stone. After Bangot had stolen these from their owner, an evil wizard called Shemuu, the Nice Stone inflicted a darkness over Bliss and the quest then needed to find the location of the Nice Stone and destroy it. this was done and the quest then moved onto a remote island in the sea where the Nice stone was eventually destroyed. The Bane Stones then became called the Earth Stones and served Bangot during his lifetime. This caused the nation of Bliss to revert back to a 'normal' existence and all lived happily ever after (except that most of the protagonists ended up getting married as a result of various sub plots and machinations). Oh well, at least they were comfortably contented enough. King Albus remained his feral self, which gave him an enlightened if not sane Kingship and his eldest son and daughter became the rulers of neighboring monarchies.
