  In this book, I share my personal story of the many struggles associated with pulmonary diseases. Some of which including the realization that a double lung transplant would be a part of my healing package. Months before my sister’s demise, strange and unusual drama began unfolding in our lives. She was told by her husband of seven years that he kept a secret which he needed to unveil because he had asked to be removed from the Federal Witness program. He began speaking to his estranged family and quickly arranged a visit with two brothers and a son. Within weeks of that visit, her stepson pulled into her driveway in a moving van and she was made aware that her husband invited him to move in with them. Almost immediately, he began disrespecting her, causing fights and fear using strong intimidation and before too long, my sister was telling everyone she needed to leave the volatile environment.When I found out she was missing, and after I had spoken to her husband, I spiritually knew in my heart that something terrible had happened. Her body was unearthed 49 days from the day she was murdered.

What’s in your Spiritual bank account? Have you deposited true love for your neighbor? You cannot withdraw the goodness of the Lord from an empty spiritual bank account. Before writing this book, I was a born-again “miserable” Christian with an empty spiritual bank account. I skeptically questioned the scripture that “abundant life” was for everyone (John 10:10). Thankfully, it was Jeremiah 17:9-10 that got my attention and changed the attitude of my heart. The heart is deceitful and desperately wicked: who can know it? But I, the Lord, search all hearts and examine secret motives. I give all people their due rewards, according to what their actions [and beliefs] deserve.Since writing this book, I have found that “abundant life” is for every­one (John 10:10). The key to abundant life is total surrender to the scalpel of the Lord, which divides the soul (or heart of man) from the spirit: The word of God is alive and active and sharper than any double-edged sword. It penetrates even to dividing the soul [emotions/intellect/will] from the spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account (Heb. 4:12-13, NIV).

When Jose Reyes Pempengco was diagnosed with a cancerous tumor in his abdomen, he underwent radiation treatment and was soon cancer-free. Thankfully the cancer had been caught at an early stage. But the radiated area slowly grew into a calcified mass, and in 2014 the mass became infected and had to be surgically removed. The initial surgery went well, but when the incision site was almost healed, suddenly it began to bleed severely, causing the author to bleed out and die. The author went home to heaven and then returned to his body. He brought back a message to help people rightly prepare their souls for eternity. Our souls are more valuable than all the wealth in the world. We need to consider the state of our own souls, for there is True Life After Life in eternity.

The Lord will send out on you cursing, vexation, and rebuke, and everything that you set your hands to do, until you be destroyed because of the wickedness of your doings whereby you have forsaken God.
