The text of this manuscript is primarily focused on my history of abuse. Whether it involves drugs, alcohol, mental, physical, emotional or social abuse, I hold nothing back from my experiences. I dive deep into the after-math of drug use and abuse, the role it takes on your body, mind, and soul. I also go into the eternal damage from relationship abuse, mental and physical. This book is not for treatment of any depression or anxiety, its sole purpose is to release inner demons the safest and most humane way possible. Please don't let yourself become the monster that some of us have become, defeat your demons before they defeat you. Anderson Clendening
As COVID nurses, we were praised as heroes and left to deal with the damage that was caused. These are some accounts from myself and a few of my peers as we reflect on being a nurse in the time of the COVID pandemic.

For 15 weeks, I anticipated David's lessons. His examples glided along the page. I compare it to skating or singing, performed by a star. Or a tapestry sewn with colourful threads of humanity, with a Wizard's needle, and a crystal heart. Every line brings clarity.Yes, that's how I feel. That's how it should be said. Appearing so effortlessly, yet meant to be. Whether I'm joyful, angry, or lost in my grief. His poems are a nature walk in our mind. Stopping to appreciate the spider webs, and the daisies. Flip flop through the thistles and overgrown grass to reach the ocean. Whether a stroll or a run, I always come out refreshed and in awe! Brenda White, Kingston ON David writes on such a variety of subjects, sometimes funny, other times deep and compelling. His description of natural surroundings is vivid and real. I can always clearly envision what he is writing. The moods he portrays are so easily adapted to my emotions and experiences. I can tell David is passionate about his themes and he has a knack for coming up with the right words to tell a story or paint the perfect picture. I always look forward to one of his poems... it makes my day. Lynn Turney, Streetsville ON David published his first novel "Square Wheels" in 2020, as has followed up that success with Forthright But Furtive, a quirky compilation of poems and what he likes to call diatribes. David currently resides in Bracebridge ON (Muskoka), Canada. He is the membership chairman of the Muskoka Authors Association and coordinates a number of writing circles. He was presented the 2021 Bracebridge Community Award for Arts and Literature.
