I rarely find myself in the present moment due to the workings of my mind. I can speak and act as to appear present. I've gotten damn good at it. The fact remains that my mind is somewhere else. It is sometimes stuck on a frivolous conversation I had months ago with what's-his-nuts or other times it is dreaming of the future where I am in control. I've found that writing is one of few outlets that allows me to clear my mind of these distractions. The following pieces you will read had a great impact in clearing my mind and discovering myself. I thought it was only right to share, enjoy.

Mr. Koe. This sometimes humorous yet important short fictional storywritten in an unorthodox format just to add flavor, that everyone with kids, every adult, every young person, and everyone planning on having kidsmust read. It tells the plight of Kotero Harris. It reflects on Kotero's goofyteenage high school days and his experience growing up in the hood inChicago. Kotero's story involves love, bullying and how that reflects onhis relationships with the opposite sex. It deals with betrayal and how hedeals with the demons that try to take over his soul. throughout the storyit gets involved with the conception of his seven illegitimate offspring. Itultimately ends up with the spirit of his deceased mother coming backto enlighten him to the true meaning of life, love and what God expectsfrom us and what we should expect from God. This short story puts youin the mind of urban classics like Cooley High, Boyz n the Hood and Juiceall rolled up into one, infused with the most believable spiritual encounteryou have ever had in your entire life.

In the book of Acts the apostles began to preach after Jesus' ascension the gospel of the Kingdom. This is the same gospel Jesus preached and greatmiracles were written with this type of preaching. One could speculate and it is obvious we are not seeing the mighty works of Jesus or the apostles today because we have deviated from preaching the gospel of the Kingdom. Today, there are all types of preaching: the gospel of grace, the gospel of prosperity, the gospel of healing but no obvious power. Acts 17:6 says these men (the apostles) have turned this world upside down. Why, because they preached the gospel of the Kingdom. If we return to preaching and teaching the Kingdom message, we will turn this world right side up. The power will return, the anointing will return, the glory of God will return, and we will see mighty works of God happening in all nations. We will witness in this day the apostles and prophets' band together, Jews and Gentiles band together, spiritual gifts in operation like never seen before. This is the day that the army of the Lord is seen marching forth shattering the spiritual walls of religion and apostasy. God is saying to those that have ears to hear, take another look into the spirit realm, take another look into the supernatural and great and mysterious things will be revealed.
