"In Art, a picture is worth a thousand words. In Literature, Authors write a thousand words to tell a single story."I had this idea of taking photos of American authors and exhibiting them across the country. I started photographing Las Vegas authors with absolutely no one's help. All on my own. The form and style of my photos are of my creation. I alone with no one's help have designed everything that has to do with this project, from taking the photographs to the layout of the Anthology, and the production and direction of the documentary. I wanted it to be unique and different.
Great literature by; Nancy Dick, Andres Fragoso, Jr., Niza Gonzalez, Wally Hawkins, Bronko Nagurski, Valerie, Runyan, Lauren Tallman, Cliff Rocks, and photography by Wally Hawkins.
Under the Lemon Tree is written on the same ideas of family. A book of poetry that tells the story of the Lemon Tree family. This book shows different personalities that changed themselves from good to bad, from heroes to villains. This is a story that almost everyone in the world can relate to because it happens to so many families. I have seen families torn apart by lies, cheating, stealing, and self-hate.This story is about seven beautiful sisters and a brother. The sisters ruin their family name and take everyone to the most profound decline. Their nephew, the story's protagonist, believed them to be divine. From childhood, he walked with them, followed them, and did whatever they did. They were like a goddess to him who could never make mistakes. He used to feel proud of them always. The family name, Lemon Tree, was turned from great respect to being the joke of the town. All the sisters fighting over an inheritance that doesn't belong to them. They lied to each other and created misconceptions and misunderstandings. They gay-shamed their brother and nephew for being gay, for being men of culture and education, for being honest with themselves and no longer their puppets. The protagonist realizes how the sisters have abused them emotionally, verbally, and sometimes mentally.Under the lemon tree is a defining story from a colorful past relished under great, honorable, honest, and upright grandparents to a bitter family dispute that has ruined everything and everyone's life.
Listen, Poems on being Gay, Bipolar, and AliveWriting is my Pandora's Box. When I open it up and write, I do not know what hopes come out. Writing is cathartic to me. It helps me let out my frustrations and alleviates my pain. My illness, bipolar, is a chemical in-balance in the brain. When I was diagnosed with bipolar, the first four or five years flew by without a peaceful moment. I do not remember much about those years, only that I was asleep, lethargic, forgetful, sleeping most of the time, suicidal, manic, depressed, and forgot what else. It was a dark time. After a while, I started to feel that I had just woken up. I tasted everything for the first time. I saw things in a new way. Life was good. It was re-birthing for me. I could not keep Hope bottled up. I let it out.In the interim, I went to therapy, and fortunately, I got something good out of it, Journaling and poetry. I wrote my feelings, fears, desires, and how I wanted to kill myself, contrasting them with how I wanted to live.I found a website where members would critique your poems. They wanted to publish a few of my poems. I submitted my first poem, "My Vanessa, My Butterfly." A poem dedicated to my sister, who never gave up on me.Someone had mentioned combining my stories and publishing them. I did. I combined the best ones, created new ones, dedicated a few, and published them. My first book of poetry is full of errors, bad grammar, and frightening poems. I kept it that way and hoped people would see those poems' underlying illness. They are raw, passionate, and truthful.

Andres Fragoso, Jr. gathered great authors and their literature to create In Isolation Las Vegas Anthology 2021.Inspiring People Through the COVID19 Quarantine, In 2020, we faced a new virus spread worldwide, and quarantine isolation helped prevent the spread to the uninfected. It was like a scene straight out of the movies. While enduring quarantine, people needed something uplifting to cheer them up, which could lighten the mood and give hope for the future. This collection of stories from local Las Vegas authors are snippets of their lives' struggles and how they copped with the quarantine. Some are funny, some are not so funny, but overall they are great stories.Ned Barnett, Anderson Black, Peter Black, Nancy Dick, Niza Gonzalez, IM Humanity, Georgia Morales, Valerie J Runyan, Lauren Tallman.Cover image by Wally Hawkins.
