Inspiration comes in many forms. Sometimes it wakes me in the middle of the night, sometimes it springs from a picture or a sight I see or even the line of a song. My family are a treasure and the source of many ideas that end up in poems. The adventurous life that I have led, having lived in both the city and the bush, also gives me a wide range of experiences to draw on. I hope that readers find pleasure in shared experiences or from the stories and sentiments expressed.

By extension this is a story about the importance of all livings things . This is a story about us as the stewards of the earth and how seriously many humans take their stewardship.
In this deliberately incomplete and selective memoir, the author relates experiences from his extraordinary life of travel around the world. Some stories are interesting, some exciting, some of life-affirming importance, some humorous, some heart-warming, some hair-raising, some crazy, some quite silly and probably ill-advised, but all of them are exotic and fun. And they are all completely true. Some of the stories in this book are of extraordinary experiences of nature, humanity or even geo-politics that the author has been amazingly privileged to experience.Read about his experiences of surviving a plane crash; having a first contact visit with primitive people; swimming in filthy waters where he should not have; doing some nocturnal wanderings in an unfamiliar city; making a fool of himself in Ireland; getting frustrated by officialdom in Russia; enjoying the delights of Scandinavia; exploring fascinating European history; swimming in a number of European countries but, most of all, enjoying the thrill of it all. There are stories here from about 50 countries; and there are still many more (stories and countries) to come.

Compelled to write on the challenging things of life in poetic form. I draw on experiences of my everyday walk with Christ. There have been many ups and downs, learning curves, mistakes, bad situations, misunderstandings, loss of self-esteem and other various things we all face as Christians. These Poems can inspire, challenge and encourage the reader to take heart when faced with difficult situations. It's an honest account of the many tests and trials I faced and then working through the changes I had to make.Putting aside self and choosing God and His word instead. This is where the rubber meets the road.
