This collection of poems is the result of past events in my life, some good others not so. From childhood, teenage rebellion and into adult life, after all it is the events and encounters that shape our future whether good or bad. Memories have always refused to remain idle in the far reaches of my mind, for they always seem to pop up at various times, as does the imagery and emotions that accompany them. Dreams also have played their part, as a child I loved the stories of ancient Greece, especially that of Orpheus in the underworld and Perseus, add a pinch of fairy-tale, Celtic and Nordic legends, together with old films and TV shows. The final ingredient that made an impact was poetry, especially the works of POE, KEATS, BYRON, and my favourite PERCY SHELLEY, who throughout my teenage years made such an impact upon my working-class mind.
The complication of the human system makes it an interesting one as no one can predict the outcome of a person unless the end of an individual is almost too visible to avoid. Some have adapted a strategy to survive in this adverse time man finds him or herself in. It is only a man that can smile with the animal it wants to kill.As innocent as one walks on the earth, there are plans by other persons on how well the new job went, the marriage, the new car, the first child of the family, the change of position at the workplace, and many more. There are people watching each time an action is carried out by an individual, whether consciously or unconsciously.

Einuur smiled grimly, "This device is called a spalvosás, your cerquibrum can tell you its function"."My cerquibrum is sort of out for the moment, what is it, what does it do"?Ailuura replied in a concerned tone, "It sort of realigns your sympathies, Inigo"."What if I don't want then realigning"? Not with a great deal of conviction. Einuur gave a vulpine grin,"But you're not in charge here Felton, I am. Now let me advise you, to resist the spalvosás will result in more than a little, shall we say, discomfort. So the choice is yours and that of your Mizaroa, embrace the emanations and all will be smoothly achieved - resist and you will not like what it does to your body and your brain".Felton began to struggle, a chiefly useless show of defiance given the circumstances. Einuur suddenly cuffed him upside the head and then jammed the cap onto his head, securing it by a strap beneath his chin. Satisfied that the fit was optimum, he bent over the case and Felton heard two toggle switches being thrown. The room was filled with a soft humming of some sort of alien power supply. The Zaromoid turned his attention to the captive and began,"Inigo Felton which alien race do you have the most sympathy for, answer or I will adjust the spalvosás, to give you a little jolt, a sample of what might come if you do not cooperate with the Zaromi".Felton tried reasonably enough, "I have a Mizaroa cerquibrum in my head so my allegiance is to them obviously".A spear of indescribable agony suddenly racked his entire body from the top of his head to the end of his toes.

WWII in Poetry tells veterans' stories in poetry including my late father's, who was a Spitfire pilot in the Nigeria Squadron. It says at the end, "For free speech," and aims to explain the reason for this most awful and horrific war through the real daily experiences or battles in the life of the WWII service person. This is to recognize its legacy, which exists in infinite and pervasive ways, like our digital space at work, our political speeches, or in the way we meander down the street with our partners hand in hand, whatever the tradition or diversity. So part 1 details Pearl Harbor, part 2 depicts struggles in the air, part 3 describes life in the navy, and part 4 consists of general reflections on WWII. The photo gallery frames sixty-two color-enhanced photos of the famous 91 Squadron, better known as the Nigeria Squadron, and altogether, there is an awareness throughout of the power of knowing your technology by its nuts or calculations because as my dad said about his Spitfire, "It almost flew itself."
