When Gary, Annie, Joe, Dr. Don and the rest of the team at the Mission at Harbor and Divine consider helping Maria, Jose and Jesus with a Christmas time safe haven from assassins of the (fictitious) Copper Canyon Drug Cartel they set in motion an unintended path to murderous, destructive violence. Blossoming love relationships, an art mission outreach to a developmentally disabled ten-year old artistic savant, the bicycle repair and give-away mission and even Christmas are all put aside in order to work with the FBI and DEA to save lives and derail the cartel assassin's murderous intents in a destructive shootout inside the mission's chapel. Cleveland's entire Near West Side of Cleveland rallies behind the courageous team of the Mission at Harbor and Divine turning dark violence into a fabulous Christmas celebration. Come be reunited with your beloved characters from "Sfumato," book one of the Harbor and Divine Series. Turn your bitter into sweet; your lost into found; your brokenness into healing as you triumph in the victory of Love and Faith in "Hope at the Corner of Harbor and Divine." T.W.Poremba has a lifetime of love for the Near West Side of Cleveland where he was born. As the setting for his Harbor and Divine Series, Cleveland's Near West Side spawns heroic effort, loving friendships and healing hope from a mission at the corner of Harbor and Divine. T.W.Poremba styles a cast of characters filled with love, faith and hope for one another and for all the struggling people who live in the inner city. His own love for the Lord, for people in need and for comrades in faith fills every conversation on every page with people of high character, deep respect, faith-generated hope and heart-warming humor. He and his wife and chief editor, Cathleen Lewis Poremba, are certain that in this book you will find victories to cheer, love to cherish and hope to inspire you to find healing in your own brokenness and love in your own loneliness. God's blessings to you all, T.W. and Cathleen Poremba

Divine intervention amid chaos was evident before she was even conceived; Kitte Rowland was born into a separated dysfunctional family of six kids in working class Lorain, Ohio. Her early years were ruled by fear and neglect until her mother died of an epileptic seizure. By age ten she moved twice with two different stepmoms; she was lost, anxious and rebellious. This poignant tale of the author's life journey clearly shows God's hand imprint in restoring order and family. Overcoming childhood trauma, rebellion, waywardness, and self-reliance by coming home to the kindness of Jesus; she experiences inner healing, spiritual growth, restored marriage, family, and adoption. Consider the Lilies will encourage you to trust in the wisdom and provision of God. The proof is in the beauty and compassionate care He has for all of creation. How much more does He love and sustain us, who are created in His image? Kitte M. Taylor is a mother of four, grandmother of two, homemaker, prayer warrior, vice president of the Rowland Family Foundation, and daughter of the King. Besides her family, she enjoys home decorating, fashion retailing, personal styling, and discipling young people. She had a salvation experience as a young girl at Christian camp but was never nurtured in her faith, so she ran away from everything, including God. Kitte was thirty-eight when she came back to the Lord. Two years later while giving her testimony, she felt clearly called to share her story more widely so that others would know the mercy of Jesus is for all of us. After her father's passing, the harness holding her back fell away and the Lord provided her with the courage and resources to write her story. She resides with her husband, John and family in Bay Village, Ohio.

Sometime during our life, we have to decide two things - "Who am I?" and "Who is Jesus?". It might be on our deathbed, but sooner or later we will all give answers. And what we believe about Jesus will influence both of those decisions whether we are a follower of Jesus or not. Practicing faith in tough times is often not easy. James Richards writes with a very personable, engaging and approachable style, using wit, at times light humor and wisdom, which keeps the reader interested and the narrative flowing. Who Do You Think You Are? is the result of realizing God's unreasonable love, how it can change the way we see ourselves and God, and, what it means to serve Him without choking on a must-do list of rules and regulations. Jim Richards, author of Who Do You Think You Are?, is an Animal Science graduate who lives in northern California with his wife where they dig in the gardens, herd gophers, and play with their three grandkids. When not playing at golf, fishing, camping, or driving RC trucks he loves to spend time in the yard at the grill. He can be reached at missingmountain71@gmail.com

  • av Julia Peranio
    168

Julia Peranio's life has been full of supernatural experiences. After coming to know Christ at an early age, circumstances, both good and bad, arose where God was her only hope. However, when He revealed Himself, showing her the way out of these awful situations, Peranio had no other choice but to testify on His goodness, mercy, and grace. Peranio felt in her spirit that others needed to know about her trials and their remedies to help them to be overcomers in Yeshua as well, and the only way to get the truth out there was to write about it and have it published. I BELIEVE MY Testimony of Yeshua...is a non-fiction narrative that came from Julia Peranio's own personal experiences. The intimate details presented in this book came from the many times Yeshua came to her rescue, and while these events are not unique, Peranio lived them, and they are her's. God extended His love to Peranio on a personal basis. As the years passed, she realized that her circumstances were unusual, due to the countless visions, supernatural interventions, and auditory instructions, she received from the Lord. Quickly, she felt that it was her duty to share the love of God with the world. All of her adventures with God are real to this day, and through this sequence of events, Peranio hopes to impact others and share the saving grace of Yeshua Jesus, who hung on the Cross and died to set us free.

Families and significant others of abuse victims often feel powerless to help the ones they love. They see the signs of depression; the struggles with self-abusive cutting/eating/drug usage/harmful relationships and long to bring safety and peace to the woman/man they dearly care for. That was the impetus for writing this book. It is not a quick fix or a cure all. It is a book of truth about what the spiritual damages that can result from victimization. It offers several practices which are intended to assist the abused individual to understand how they came to sustain spiritual damage. How they can connect to the Divine in new ways of prayers. How they can utilize meditation as a tool for healing. This book is intended to address the realities of hopelessness; despair; depression; and self-rejection as experienced by many survivors. I am a creative, vibrant, faith-filled woman who also is a survivor in the process of learning to be a thriver. My professional life has included being a nurse mostly in psychiatric settings; a pastor; a spiritual director and public speaker on theological issues pertaining to LGBTQI. During my undergrad work on my BSN and then on my MSN, I did internships at domestic violence shelters as well as volunteering afterwards by running survivors group sessions. Raised in an era where incest, clergy abuse and molestation were not spoken about nor acknowledged, formed the person I have struggled to become today. I see myself as a human butterfly, who has survived the chrysalis of recovery from powerless victim to a resurrected thriver.

I want everyone that reads this book to realize that God still works miracles, he still raises the dead and causes the blind to see, the death to hear and the lame to walk. This is the life that God has for all those that serve him. We are to walk in the supernatural power and authority of God. We should not just be ordinary Christians. Therefore since we are diffrent laying hands on the sick and seeing them recover should be no big deal. We should be calling things as not as though they were, we should see the manifestation! John 14:12 says (Very truly I tell you whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these because I am going to the Father). We ought to be doing the greater works so let's get busy for the kingdom of God and begin to walk in our God-given power and authority. Barbara Goddard was born in Myrtle Beach S. C. She has had so many encounters with the Lord, for example, she saw a set of stairs come down from heaven and was invited up to be with the Lord as a child, thank God she did not go because she would not be here today. The doctors gave up on her in Nov 1980. As an adult, she continues to be used by the Lord. God used her to pray over a man that was brain dead she went into the room and rebuke death and he got up. On another occasion, she prayed over a young lady whose hands were turned inside because of a serious case of arthritis. She spoke the word of God and she was healed. Her hands looked brand new. One more miracle that God did, one day she was feeding the homeless and the food ran out. She said my Lord please stretch this food all of a sudden she was able to feed at least fifty to sixty men. So many souls were won because of the love she has for the Lord. God has blessed her with a husband of thirty-five years and eight beautiful children.

Have you ever felt confused and overwhelmed by untamable emotions? The emotions associated with grief, loss, and mourning can be very tangential. One minute you can feel grounded, and the next you can feel knocked down. The ebbs and flows of the process can make one feel unsteady. Carrie figured that because she had been exposed to some grief and loss situations during her childhood, this made her well prepared for loss going forward. Well, she was wrong! Carrie was also introduced to her faith in God, which became the impetus for her spiritual growth and well-being. As Carrie grew into an adult, she was able to recognize the intersection between grief and God's grace. She would go in to a helping field, where her grief skills would be further enhanced. Carrie felt sure that her work would help her cope better with experiences of loss moving forward. Even though Carrie had been exposed to grief and loss as early as the age of eight, she would learn that the loss of a very dear loved one to amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) would send her on an unpredictable and turbulent journey of grief and despair. It was this particular death that shined a light on the various holes that punctured her toolbox. As a mental health professional, even she had to enlist in counseling services to further allow herself the vulnerability to move through this particular grief journey. Carrie would learn that even through pain and suffering, God would render his ultimate grace and healing through her grief journey. She also found deeper answers to these questions: Did you know that there is no universal template for grief? It is unpredictable. Did you know that there is no time schedule or limit for the grief process? It takes time. Did you know that news of a terminal illness such as ALS can cause one to grieve prior to one's death? Did you know that God's grace is sufficient and will help you during the turbulent times? Carrie S. Boone is a native of Baltimore, Maryland. She is a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW-C), therapist, and certified grief professional. She is a dedicated wife and mother to two beautiful children. Carrie is a proud graduate of the historic Morgan State University School of Social Work. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and crafting. There is a prophecy within the Bible that was foretold by the archangel Gabriel to Daniel regarding the Jews and the holy city of Jerusalem over the span of seventy weeks. Many theologians have tried to study what the prophecy means; however, due to the unknown facts within the verses as well as there being so many different interpretations of the prophecy, no one is quite sure how to accurately define its meaning. Pastor James Berry has taken on the challenge to unravel the mystery of this perplexing prophecy in Daniel's Apocalypse I: The Prophecy. The first in a new series, readers will follow Berry as he provides his findings from his in-depth research regarding calendar dates for times in history, clarifying discrepancies of facts and timelines, covering how the prophecy has been taken out of context, and more. James is an eight-year USAF veteran. James met his lovely wife Pamela in the state of North Carolina while serving at his last duty station. Pastor Lynn Berry presided over the union of James and his wife on June 4, 2005. Both James and Pamela have been married for 16 years and have a son of the age of 14 named Samuel. There's a word, Selah, found 71 times in the Psalms. Too often considered an inconvenience to reading the psalm we skip over it as just an "extra" and not important. I started to dig a little deeper into this word and the verses preceding it. Why did the writer put this word there? How can I apply it to today? As I share the Selah verses, take the psalmist's cue and stop, pause, and listen to what the Spirit is saying. Let your heart be turned to worship of the Most High God. "This is the person who seeks him, who searches for the face of the God of Jacob. Selah" (Psalm 24:6) Wendy Miller Bartsch was born and raised in New Jersey. She spent her early years in Northern BC Canada serving in missions and raising her children. Numerous moves and life challenges deepened her faith and trust in God. With a heart after God, she has led worship teams, serving where God plants her. Always looking for a creative challenge, she started writing devotionals and posting them to Facebook. With much encouragement from family and friends a book was created. She now resides in Fort St John, BC with her husband. Together they have six children, ten grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Sometimes being understanding is more important than being right. Sometimes we need not a brilliant mind that speaks but a patient heart that listens... Not keen eyes that always see faults but open arms that accept... Not a finger that points out mistakes but a gentle hand that leads...Unknown Instead of buying your children all the things you never had, you should teach them all the things you were never taught. Material things wear out; knowledge stays. - Bruce Lee. A Journey into Serenity is about transformation... God sees everything-from the biggest events in history to the smallest acts of sin that happen in the dark of night. But can we see all that He is doing behind the scenes? In Sagacity, author Keith M. Cornish takes you deep into the heart of a chronic issue that is very real yet very hidden in church society. This suspenseful and thrilling crime novel follows the story of a family impacted by the horrific event of sexual assault and the journey to finding vindication at the hands of an almighty God. When a young boy is abused by a Catholic priest, it will take a team of detectives, a family's desperation, and the omnipotence of God to bring the criminal to justice. While many within and without the church walls try to lessen the horrors that occurred, Sagacity reveals just how far one should be willing to go to bring the truth to light. Inspired by real events, Cornish's timely novel was set in motion by a television news story about a sexual assault case involving a priest. Unsettled by the way the case was addressed, Cornish turned to God's Word to search for the truth about how these situations-which happen all over the world-should be handled. Along this quest, Cornish realized that the key factor that seems to be missing in these church-related assault cases is an understanding of the necessity of consequences and their severity. Through Sagacity, Cornish reminds us that in the eyes of a good and holy God, there are always consequences for sinful actions-consequences which cannot be escaped. With this powerful story, the heart-wrenching reality behind it, and the scriptural truth at its foundation, Sagacity will open your eyes to the magnificent and awe-inspiring fact that God is still on the throne. My name is Keith Cornish and I am just a normal guy. Hard worker, a long haul car hauler. I love being a dad. This story was set in motion by an interview on television. It never settled with me and I had a burning to write this story. The Bible quided me to explain rules and consequences that show relevance. I pray that I showed the reader through the scripture, God is still on the throne.

  • av D. D. Nabor
    191

It is undeniable that there has been a modern-day exodus of men in the American church. All one has to do is visit a Sunday morning service in a typical congregation, and the gender imbalance is overwhelming clear. This has profound consequences, however, as it affects the ability of the church to act as the body of Christ and achieve its purpose, which is spreading the Word and drawing others to the Lord. So, why is this occurring? And, more importantly, what can be done to rectify it? Marginalized Men in the Maelstrom of a Changing Church by D.D. Nabor Sr. is a compelling novel which delves deep into the crisis of the lack of men in the church today. He discusses intra-congregational conflict between women in leadership and men on the bench and talks about the devastation that occurs in churches when reconciliation is not achieved between the two. Inspired to write by his own experiences as a young man in Sunday school, D.D. Nabor Sr. shares how he witnessed the statement, "He who leads the Sunday School will one day lead the church," coming true, as most of the young men he knew left Sunday school and most of the young women stayed and went on to leadership in the church. He writes passionately that men and women must take the initiative to invite the other gender to get the written Word out and heal the abundant hurt that exists on both sides. The result is both an analysis and call to action that will have readers of both genders ready to come to the table in one accord.

  • av Hyacinth Rowe
    191

This Book of Short Sermons is a compilation of sermons preached in the United Kingdom and Jamaica approximately over a period of ten years to bring a word to specific congregations of God's people at the time of need. The Book is written to give glory to God; to convey the gospel of Jesus Christ to the reader who is yet to accept Jesus as Savior and Lord and to just be a blessing to all who read it. The choice of each sermon was influenced by the Holy Spirit in such a way, not only during the preparation but also during delivery as evidenced by how well it fitted in with the theme of the worship service for that day or; by the spontaneous direction of the Holy Spirit on that day. Although the entire book is inspirational there are few sermons that are so inspiring and uplifting that one could feel the anointing of the Holy Spirit even while these sermons were being written, such as, 'Be it onto to me according to thy word' (Luke 1:38 KJV) found in Chapter 1 which shows the obedience of Mary the Mother of Jesus to the will of God, 'A place near God'(Exodus 19:10 KJV) in Chapter 2 and 'Choose life' (John10:10 KJV) found in Chapter 4 which ministered to one of the congregants in the pew before she passed away. Although these sermons have had profound effects on the preacher all the sermons delivered were instructional and influenced by the Holy Spirit. It is the Author's prayer that this Book will impact everyone who reads it.

It all begins with a nightmare. Then, a mysterious phone call. Oliva is awakened to a life shattering reality. There is an old farmhouse, long abandoned, or so it seems. It sits on the brow of a hill off the beaten path along a little used road in the Western Piedmont region of North Carolina. If one were to apss by the house of an evening on the highway below the might hear, or might think they are hearing the sound of human sobbing coming from the old place. Sometimes memories come unbidden during restless nights when all should be at peace. But suddenly, like waves crashing on a stormy shore they force their way into the conscious mind. Born in upstate NY. I am an author, a songwriter, musician and a retired Pastor, formerly a caterer and a sporting goods store owner, among several other professions. I had the extreme privilege of serving as lead pastor in Olean NY, Niagara Falls NY, LaFargeville, NY, and Laurinburg NC. I have been married to my wife Jane for nearly fifty years and we live together in the countryside West of St. Louis. I am currently serving as Worship leader at my home Church in Union, MO. I began this journey of ministry of writing to encourage especially those of retirement age or beyond to try new things, to hope for the here and now and to re-establish ties with family and friends. I publish a devotional blog each day at larrymlawrence.com, Finding God in the Mystery of every day.

Hear My Heart is a compilation of poems that were written by Donna Amelia Howell Richardson over the course of her life. They are mostly spiritual in nature because Donna found Jesus as a child and He inspired her all her life. The book contains special events and special people who entered her life and moved her to writing. The poems deal with life and death, and include highlights from Donna's career as a high school principal. Her roles as wife, mother, friend, and grandmother are also front and center in many of her works. The words within this volume will speak to anyone journeying through this life and searching for a companion. They are written from Donna's heart to an audience of whoever wishes to share her story. God Bless. My name is Donna Amelia Howell Richardson and I was born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida. My father worked for Southern Bell and my mother was a stay-at-home mom. I attended East 44th Street Baptist Church, which was just two blocks from my home from birth until I was around 26 and we moved our family to San Mateo. My husband and I both were baptized at that little church, and I sang in the choir there for many years alongside a very influential Christian role model named Yvonne White. I never forgot her influence in my life and can still hear her singing "His Eye is on the Sparrow" in my dreams. She had a beautiful soprano voice. I always enjoyed writing, even in my little diary as a small child. I had an English teacher at Andrew Jackson High School, Mrs. Harvey, who told me I should be a writer. I was very encouraged by her words and continued jotting down verses and poems for the rest of my life. I married my high school sweetheart, Steven Richardson, at the age of 19, and together we began the journey of building a family and continuing our educations. We both received a Bachelors and Masters Degree from the University of North Florida, and I went back for my Doctorate's Degree at UNF. My education enabled me to become an English teacher at N.B. Forrest High School in 1985, twelve years after I had had my first child. I stayed at home during my two children's formative years, and enjoyed being PTA president at San Mateo Elementary School, and just pleasured in being a mother to my offspring prior to jumping into a very busy career for the next 33 years. Throughout my busy career and letting life just roll over me, I took moments to compose some of my deepest thoughts. I wrote all of these on pieces of paper and just tucked them away until I decided to share them with the world. I am up in years now, and hope to keep writing the next thirty years so I can produce a second volume to my heart-felt feelings.
