Mable Burrel has spent over 50 years in ministry as a prayer warrior and intercessor. In her private prayer time, as she became closer to God, she began to write out her prayers in a journal that, unknowingly, would turn into the heart of her first devotional book, "Love, Mable". She states, "I believe these love notes became a strength to my relationship with God. Communicating in this way gave me strength & helped to equip me to face daily challenges in life." This devotional includes real prayers, scriptures for encouragement, and tidbits of Mable's testimony. She reminds us of one of her favorite scriptures: Philippians 4:13, which says, "We can do all things through Christ, that strengthens you." Life can be filled with many challenges, so we must meet with Jesus every day in prayer. Check out "Love, Mable" as an encouragement in your daily devotional time. Mable Burrell, the author of prayer devotional "Love, Mable", has been a prayer warrior & intercessor for over 50 years. As a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and former pastor's wife - praying, and caring for others has always been an important role in her life. While in ministry as a teacher & worship leader, Mable earned both her Cosmetology license & a degree in Medical assisting. She also spent over 10 years caring for children as a daycare provider. She currently spends her time serving in ministry at her local church in Bakersfield, CA. It is her hope that through reading her writing, she may encourage and inspire others on their spiritual journey.
Jesus Christ is still working miracles. I found myself at the point of suicide after using drugs and alcohol. At the point of insanity, Christ left me with just enough sanity to cry out to Him. He heard my cry! He healed me! My life is now evolved with His. My name is Jacqueline Anderson. My hometown is Memphis, Tennessee. I am the mother of four children. Writing is a joy to me. I consider it my hobby. I am determined to let someone know that there is hope in the midst of a hopeless situation. We live in a world were hope is fading for many people. People don't know who or what to turn to. It seems as though, what they turn to crumbles. We all need stability in life. There are things in life that break us and causes us to crack and tears us into pieces mentally, physically, emotionally and financially. The only stability in this life is He who is the giver of life Jesus Christ. When the breaking tearing and cracking of life hits us. Jesus is that hope that keeps it all together.
This is a Memoir of miscellaneous events and experiences of my life's journey; the bitter, sweet, and indifferent. The practicality of my own life's decisions could have transitioned differently without a spiritual relationship with God. A Journey of hope, faith, and trust. My process is ever growing, through it all, I am learning obedience in times of disobedience. The difference on my fate to faith journey to decipher religion differently from an intimate relationship with Elohim The Most High. I am learning to embrace His Agape love, accepting His grace and mercy through all my atrocities. I am trusting in His peace that passes all understanding. He is teaching me forgiveness, to love me, self-respect, believe in me, as I trust in Him to shape me. My ability to write was encouraged in Bible school where it was mandatory to take notes in contemporary lectures from each guest speaker. I am grateful for that season of exposure, also confirmation that: "The Lord Most High will teach me many things, and give me an ability to write, so I should write, write, whatever, I have learned from the Lord, so the Body of Christ will be blessed by my writings." (Dr. Patricia Morgan 1994). This writing ability has also been confirmed by others. An Evangelist from Jamaica (Carlton Daley) while Ministering @ the Rebirth International Assembly in the State of Georgia, asked Rev. Maxine Anderson for a pen, placed it in my hand, declaring that I need to start writing the books that God has given me to write. "I have nothing but all You have given me." Have you ever made a decision in a moment that changed your life forever? One that you couldn't take back and had lasting consequences? Author Brittney Evans has. Finding herself in a season of pain and hurt as she encountered her new reality, she turned to the only One who could walk with her through her trial. This is her story. My Pain His Glory: Was The Pain Worth It? by Brittney Evans is an inspiring book which details the author's journey of facing challenging circumstances and how the Lord brought her through. Writing with honesty and transparency, Brittney is open with readers about the ups and downs of her story, including relevant scriptures and insightful commentary and discussing concepts like forgiveness, depression, infidelity, and the difference between the permissive will and perfect will of God. Brittney writes not only as an outlet to channel the pain but to use her story to reach out to other women who are going through similar situations, helping them realize that they're not alone and that even if it doesn't feel like God is there, He is. Her book is one that will inspire and encourage others to not give up and will remind them that pain is only temporary and the Lord will see them through.
Why? It's a simple question we ask from a very early age. From a place of curiosity to the height of anger this one word is used for so many situations in our lives. We ask it of friends, parents, spouses and even God. Lessons from a Quilt takes us through personal struggles of the author that led to questioning her own faith and God's love for her. In the tangles of tragedies and through the beauty of an old quilt came unexpected answers that gave the author an internal strength to overcome. Now shared with you, these simple and practical ideas can be used immediately, and in any situation, to help you begin to understand why and build your faith in God to a new level. Amy is originally from Tennessee and now lives in Florida with her husband Alan. Their blended family consists of four wonderful children, two energetic grandchildren and one who looks down on them from heaven. She was inspired to write this book by a still small voice that would not relent and by the support of her family and friends to whom the advice in this book has been given many times. When not writing she enjoys traveling, baking and living life to its fullest potential.
Torn between his Christian faith and Palestinian dream of a homeland, Famir is drawn to a terrorist plot in New York, calling attention to unresolved Israeli-Palestinian issues in the Middle-East. Will he do the right thing? Follow him and others in a relentless pursuit to reset their moral compass and the struggle for personal renewal in a modern setting of diminishing values. Searching for lasting values in an "everything is okay" culture, Father Stan Rybak assists in their struggle to recognize the blending of Good and Evil, an adventure toward awakening, awareness and renewal. The Taming of the Loon reads very smoothly with engaging dialogue that builds momentum to the story; really appealing and beautifully written. - Susan Anderson-Khleif, PhD The Taming of the Loon leads the reader down into...our unconscious shadows. Therein lies one's moral struggle of right and wrong...in this private wrestling arena one's true conscience emerges as an actionable behavior. - Paul J. Kachoris, M.D., Psychiatrist
We Need to Wake! The world is going downhill, but we pretend we don't see anything. I wrote this book to share my knowledge with my fellow Christians so we can come together to serve the Lord better. We are His disciples, we call ourselves Christians, and we say God is our heavenly Father. The Bible tells us we are called to care for this world He has given us and to represent our heavenly Father as His ambassadors. We know what we need to do, and the Lord has given us the tools to do it. My prayer is that this book will help you begin to implement and use these tools by joining together with our fellow Christians.
WARNING: This book contains words and concepts believers of the Holy Bible know, but probably cannot define or explain. A few examples of words or concepts in this book that are defined or explained: The Holy Bible states that Jesus was crucified on the day before the Sabbath but Jesus was crucified on Wednesday and Jesus's physical body was resurrected soon after sunset on Saturday. This is explained in Chapter 1. The Holy Bible uses the word heart to mean something other than the physical pump that circulates blood throughout your body. This is defined in Chapter 1. The Holy Bible uses the concept of the blood of Jesus. The blood of Jesus is defined and explained in Chapter 3. These examples are not used as a bait but, the ordinance of Communion cannot be fully revealed until you understand some of the basic words and concepts used in the Holy Bible. In the movie "A FEW GOOD MEN", Colonel Nathan R. Jessup (Jack Nicholson) shouted: "YOU DON'T WANT THE TRUTH! YOU CAN'T HANDLE THE TRUTH!" As believers of the Holy Bible we must seek after the TRUTH and believe and receive the TRUTH when it is revealed. This will set us free! Who is Daniel Larson physically? In a work portraying the brilliance of God, the elements of the cross are personified in their role of the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. Together, Woods, Tips, Thorns, Nails, and Tomb bear witness to Christ's sacrifice for His creations. Emotions run high as the elements struggle to understand why they were made to hurt Christ in this way. Why be created if they were only meant to destroy the one who gave them life? This Way by Rhonda Jordan is a short book of poetry written in her obedience to God's message for this generation's children and their families. My name is Dion marcel Henry and i am currently serving a sentence of 88 years for criminal liability, although i have taken and accept full responsibility for my crimes i continue to fight for a just sentence, one befitting my crime. It is my belief that the prosecution was orchestrated by a corrupt prosecutor who previously engaged in an act of systemic misconduct in order to send two of my cousins and several of my friends to prison for the rest of their lives. In that case Darcus Henry was sentenced to 100 hundred years, Johnny Johnson to 75 years and Gaylord Johnson to 50 years. Of these 5 young men 4 of them were exonerated after serving 17 years in July of 2013. My case is currently pending trial in Connecticut's Habeas Corpus court. It's nothing about me, I'm just a chosen vessel of The Most High. He is the only one who deserves all the accolades. This experience has been truly an honor, giving all praises and glory to The Most High who have allowed me to jot down a few words to put down on paper. "Religious" manic episodes, bouts with depression, in and out of hospitals, medication, lots of medication, several different psychiatrists and counselors, expensive supplements-that was my life for over twenty years. But God has granted relief now for over twenty years. I still struggle, mostly with insomnia, in the form of being unable to fall asleep. And now I can tell if I'm getting manic and I can "put on the brakes." My support system has been incredible over the years. It is my hope and prayer that my story can offer hope to others with a psychiatric label. Luann lives in Crete, IL, with her husband, Tim, and young son, Jacob. "But once you receive a commission from Jesus Christ, the memory of what God asks of you will always be there to prod you on to do His will. You will no longer be able to work for Him on the basis of common sense." Life is a series of transitions. From child, to teen, to adult. From newlywed, to parent, to grandparent. From apprentice, to laborer, to retirement. In these scenarios, knowing the inevitability of change we make preparation. The ministry should be no different. Should the return of Christ tarry, every church will ultimately have a different pastor than the one who now leads the flock. Some of those changes will occur because of calling, some because of health, some because of death, and others will change because of sin. Regardless of the cause behind the change, every church and pastor should prepare for that day. Next: A Manual for Pastoral Transitions is an invaluable resource for making those preparations. Written by a man who has experienced such transitions as a child in the home of a pastor, as well as being in the position of pastor himself, this book is filled with practical and helpful insights for navigating the troubling waters of change. With chapters for the departing pastor, the pastoral candidate, the successor in waiting, and the pulpit committee, this book helps provide a roadmap through every facet of transition. While you may not agree with every opinion expressed by the author, there is more than enough practical advice to make this book an essential part of every preacher's library and a valuable tool for every deacon board and pulpit committee. - Craig Burcham, Chairman of the Bible Department Golden State Baptist College, Santa Clara, California
Phoenix residents Bill and Bev Johnstone inherited a small sawmill in western Washington. Even before they took it over, they were warned to close it down. As they ignored the threat and moved to Littlerock, Washington, the threats worsened, and people lost their lives. The Johnstones and their kids learned a lot about logging and more about how to protect themselves from a large and evil organization that was out to stop all the gyppo loggers. With God's guidance and the help of their family they were able to finally find peace. I have a host of relatives in the logging business in the northwest. I grew up where trees were plentiful. I am now older and those places and things are only memories, but they live in my book.
Many books and papers have been written on the mysteries of the Bible. Some of the topics cover Bible history, theology, and trivia under the umbrella of a mystery defined by the writer not by God. Other writings cover the mysteries as stated by the apostles Paul and John, but offer only cursory context and explanation. Few if any provide total scriptural context with background, intended audience, and how the mysteries culminate to finality. Peter warned of looking at prophecy in isolation when he stated in 2 Peter 1:20, "This first knowing, that any prophecy of scripture of its own interpretation is not." This book looks at each mystery as defined by the Holy Spirit as, first, being a mystery. Second, each mystery is examined by looking at the Biblical application and timing from beginning to end as the mystery will be made manifest to more than the believer. Finally, the mysteries are discussed in the logical order of their revelation and brought to a conclusion by the last mystery before the eternal state. The last mystery "The mystery of God should be finished" (Revelation 10:7), brings the wisdom of God into full view for the believer who desires to be a good steward of God's word. Will they be able to save the two latest victims, known as Seekers, in this vast conspiracy, before it's too late? The stakes become higher and higher as the hunters become the hunted. Naomi is the youngest of the nine Kinney children to Robert and Alfreda Kinney, and growing up in the 60s they had a truly idyllic life, living in the small predominantly Black community of Evanston in mid-town Cincinnati, Ohio. King Records was only two blocks from her childhood home, and this was the place her father found solace in singing and occasionally recording in the same historic place as did many great musicians such as James Brown and Bootsy Collins. But her father's troubled situation and the challenges of this era in America caused many constraints for this large Catholic family. However, with the support of family and friends, having developed a strong loving bond among themselves, and by receiving lots of love from their faith community, they survived many difficulties together. This is Naomi's ("the baby's") glimpse into their past and the history of their hometown (Cincinnati, Ohio), highlighting some of their treasured happy memories, the tragedies that occurred among them influenced by the society at the time, and yet how they each found their missions through it all. They are indeed the "Kids of King".
The book is designed to show some of the wonders that are in heaven waiting for us through the Father's love. Ruth Robbins grew up the oldest of eight children in Wisconsin. She has always had a love of books, especially the Bible. When she was offered the opportunity to pursue a doctorate in First Century Faith, she completed it in one year. Ruth's hobbies include music, painting, and making beaded jewelry. These were not enough. They didn't seem to reach many people. The Gospel must be preached by whatever means. Books often help. In 2012 her dad died, and during the month after his death, a working title came to mind for a first draft of her book, Young Jaden's Adventures in Heaven, which is her first novel. Ruth currently lives where she grew up, with two family members, and near other family members, in Wisconsin.

This book takes the reader on a whirlwind tour through biblical and world history in an attempt to discover the foundations and primary characters involved in the most incredible deception ever perpetrated on mankind. The challenge of collecting all the clues cloaked in the mists of time and properly relating them to our modern times makes for an exciting and enlightening journey. The faithful reader may be challenged by the cataclysmic conclusion. Although I am a native Florida "cracker", my genetics originated in LA (lower Alabama). After a deep spiritual experience in my teen years, I was called to serve in the Kingdom of God. That service included deaconship, worship leader and church elder in two churches in the greater Orlando area. I am married to my wonderful wife of 58 years, Alice. We have three children and six grandchildren. I enjoy gardening, fishing and hunting. Current events demanded I somehow share truth, light and hope with my fellow man as the world spirals, seemingly, out of control. Since I have never written anything more than a 500-page school report, I believe the Holy Spirit has inspired and empowered me to write this timely piece.
