"I have never seen a man without sorrows, yet the world always changes."- Romanos Melodos, famous Greek hymnographerA true story of love and loss. After the death of her dearly beloved husband, George, Francesca loses all sense of time and direction. Her life comes to a standstill and her days are filled with despair and loneliness. The love that was supposed to last her a lifetime departs too early, and leaves her feeling as if all doors have closed and life will never have the same joy and lightness of being ever again. She shuts herself in the villa she had built with her husband in Corfu, almost as if she were a statue behind a closed door. Over the course of a few years and some wonderful moments with her petite fée, Marlène, Francesca learns to live again. After George's death, Marlène promises to visit Francesca in Corfu every year for a week. The time that they spend together during these annual visits leave them feeling enriched and reinvigorated. The conversations they share help Francesca learn to find herself again, and to remember that love never leaves. It surrounds us always, helping us take one step after the next until we find our centre again. This is a true story of love and loss. This is Francesca's journey from despair to hope, and from lost faith to insightful living.

November 6, 2010, gave me the biggest shock of my life... My wife, June, gaspedand breathed her last lying in my lap.June, who was with me for 43 years, was gone.1943 to 2018: While the world grew smaller with technology and globalisation, torn apart by wars, humanity sought to conquer other planets, and India's identity transformed, this man experienced it all, as he made his personal trysts with destiny. The world changes, people forget. But his unending love made him pick up the pen and immortalise the memories of his journey and of that happening around him. In here, there are accounts of everyday ordinary existence with extraordinary meaning. It is your story and my story. It speaks of happiness and sorrow, achievement and failure, laughter and tears, war and peace, victory and defeat, discovery and destruction. It is the story of a life well lived, love without boundaries, and inevitable death.

Not only was Sripad Aindra Prabhu an out-standing kirtaniya, but he was also a fired-up preacher. Whenever he was given a chance to speak, it was as if red-hot lava poured forth from his mouth, coming straight from his heart which was burning in the fire of love for God. The lecture series compiled in this first volume of Sri Sri Harinama-Kalpataru was delivered in 2001 during the sacred month of Kartik, and deals with many important transcendental subject matters such as how to chant the holy names of God, and the importance and realizations of staying in a sacred place. A ""kalpataru"" is a wish-fulfilling tree, and ""harinama"" means the names of Krishna. In other words; the names of Krishna are like a transcendental wish-fulfilling tree. Sripad Aindra Prabhu was always eager to chant and inspire others to do so as well. With this book - which is only the first volume of many others to come - we hope to continue spreading Sripad Aindra Prabhu`s love of Godhead and enthusiasm for harinama all over the world.

India's History was mostly written on the basis of Archeological and linguistic research by the British in colonial times or by historians employed by the English such as Max Muller. The British had a vested interest in notpresenting the Indian civilization as ancient or as great as it was thought to be. Till the 18 th Century, philosophers and thinkers in Europe such as Voltaire, Hegel and even as late as Nietzsche referred to Indian Philosophy and Science, as the Mother of all Philosophes and Sciences. The British established a two-pronged strategy: First to postdate most of Indian History. Second to show that whatever was good in India like Sanskrit, philosophy, architecture, and literature, came from the west via the Aryan invasions. To establish this myth, some "discoveries" were made such as finding skeletons by Mortimer Wheeler in Mohenjo-Daro which prompted him to hastily conclude that the Aryans had "massacred Dravidians while invading India. This fact shapes Indian History till today, and this has been taught to the Indian children.Luckily of late new archaeological and linguistic discoveries have shattered many myths. The mapping of Saraswathi Riverbed by Landsat of NASA and photograph show that there was an Indian Civilization before the Indus Valley Civilization. The attempt at rewriting history is meeting with a lot of resistance on the part of those who have a vested interest in keeping Indian History under status quo as well as those who for decades have taught and written booksand articles which blindly copied the British version. Contrary to that, this is one small treatise to correct the wrong and to justify the pride we feel for India and its great and ancient civilization.

The political, economic, social, technological, legal environment can threaten an organizations survival. When the organization is stable in these five elements, it can cope with any challenge thrown by the external environment. This workbook will feature some of the challenges and approaches in handling these areas. This workbook will guide the reader to evaluate their present skills and take action wherever improvement is desired. The author has highlighted many Mindmaps, checklist, thought-provoking questions for the readers to reflect on and take action, and has emphasized many case studies in this book to make the book practical for the reader. Sustainability Management strategies and execution for achieving responsible organizational goalsSustainability is perhaps the most important term in the area of management today and indeed in all areas of organizational survival and progress as well as its influence on environment and society at large. Sustainability is relevant to all levels of human .activity, from the global level to the national, regional, community, organizational, and individual levels. The Harvard Business Review compared what it called the "Sustainability Imperative" to other game-changing business megatrends of the past generation, such as the rise of the quality movement, the personal computer, and the Internet. Such game-changing trends profoundly affect the competitiveness, and even the survival, of organizations. This book provides a global perspective on sustainability and therefore, provides ample examples and cases to demonstrate the benefits of practicing sustainability. Therefore, this book and the examples are relevant and applicable in the global as well as Indian context. The sustainability books that are in the market today address certain specific areas of sustainability however; this book is a comprehensive book on sustainability and applies sustainability to most areas of management. Ultimately, the purpose of the book is to trigger sustainable action from the organization and individual point of view. Sustainability is different from the environmental movement alone in that it recognizes economic and social imperatives too. The majority of Fortune 500 companies have a sustainability officer at the VP level or higher and leading businesses are coming to see sustainability as driver for the next wave of innovation and profitability and growth. Yet few graduates of business schools are given the tools to manage companies, governments, or organizations sustainably. This book addresses this gap adequately. The book is suitable for undergraduate and postgraduate studies in sustainability management as a text book as well as a reference book for practitioners and professionals of sustainability.

In the current day and age, currency is considered as money that forms the basis of all our transactions. But what happens when we realize that these pieces of paper are nothing but deception? What if, one day, out of nowhere, we are told that these currency notes are as good as paper? As scary as it sounds, this scenario is not very far from the truth. On 8th November 2016, the citizens of India were faced with a similar predicament. It was the day when the government of India declared 86% of the currency worthless unless exchanged for new currency notes. An expert on financial matters, Sachin Mittal takes us through the seemingly complex matters on a variety of topics that explain one of the most basic questions of our existence: What is Money? Through a deft use of examples, Mittal draws a timeline of the various forms of money used for transactions since the existence of civilization till date. Finally, he delves on the origin of money as we know it, the paper currency. The author does not wish to pass a judgement on the factors that led to demonetization, rather raises serious concerns regarding the validity of paper currency as a widely accepted form of money. Moreover, through nuanced argument and examples, he demystifies the concept of money and reinstates the faith in gold as a more reliable form of money.

A collection of three fun, creative, hearwarming stories, ideal for children from 4-8 years old, in full colour. Ideal for child who is a reluctant reader. The stories will catch a childs interest and keep him/her glued.I have seen Sheetal grow from a rookie visualiser to a fine Art Director at Enterprise. With this book, I'm delighted to see her blossom into a children's writer and an illustrator with her own unique style. These delightful stories will not only transport a child to a magical world, a happy blend of Alice's Wonderland and Willy Wonka, they will do something much more important.I recently read a thought-provoking article that advocates a system of education that encourages inquiry in children over a system that relies on learning by rote. In this, both the timing and the format of this book are just perfect: it doesn't spoonfeed the morals in these stories to the children; rather, it inspires them to debate, to find the answers for themselves. It motivates them to think. Now which parent wouldn't want that for his or her kids?Mohammed KhanAdvertising Legend.
