A Book for the Graduate

Looking for the perfect graduation gift for your recent high school or college graduate? The focus of all six of the short lectures/chapters is on an urgent need to prioritize the construct of community and move away from selfishness and inward thinking. The lectures address varying relevant topics such as social media, civil discourse, overcoming the negative outcomes of the pandemic, and the importance of having a strong sense of purpose. It is written from a positive and humorous lens but the messages are inarguably important, timely, and interesting. The author's background is in education/educational leadership. She is currently a high school principal and before becoming an administrator, she was a secondary-level teacher and school counselor. Her professional experiences and dissertation focus allowed her to grow her expertise in character education and social emotional learning, two areas she grew to become very passionate about and two areas of the utmost importance.
