Elizabeth Bennet's life should have been perfect. She was engaged to a gentleman who was, until very recently, the most disagreeable person she had ever encountered, the seeds of the great love she had always searched for had been planted… But before their marriage can take place, Fitzwilliam Darcy is called away on business on the continent, leaving Elizabeth alone and confused. After weeks without any word from him, Elizabeth travels to Pemberley and finds that it, too, has been abandoned by Mr. Darcy.

When Elizabeth discovers that she is with child, she must flee to Scotland to avoid scandal and keep the family name untarnished by her own mistakes.

Meanwhile, Mr. Darcy has been sending letters to Elizabeth all along, but they have been intercepted by the conniving Mr. Wickham. With each letter that goes unanswered, Mr. Darcy becomes more desperate to find Elizabeth and explain himself. He finally learns of Wickham's treachery and sets out to find Elizabeth himself.

With her heart torn between two men, Elizabeth struggles to make the right decision for herself and her child… but will she make the right one?
