A New History of Ireland

Consists of a chronology of Irish history which is unprecedented in scope, extending from the earliest times to the end of 1976, and in breadth of coverage, touching upon every aspect of Irish life for which dates can be given. A general introduction and introductions to individual sections discuss problems of dating, source-material, forms of names and technical forms.
