Ruby Meijers has to fight for every breath she takes.
If that isn't bad enough, she is forced to move to a new town where she doesn't know anyone.
On her first day at the new high school, Ruby meets Benjamin - a quirky boy who won't take no for an answer to his offer of friendship.
Ruby and Benjamin find themselves drawn to each other in a way they have never experienced before.
But all of that is threatened when Ruby receives news that could destroy everything she has found.
