About Lopamudra Banerjee Lopamudra Banerjee is an acclaimed author/poet, editor, living with her family in Texas, USA, originally from Kolkata, India. She teaches Creative Writing at Richland College and Texas Christian University, USA. Her memoir 'Thwarted Escape: An Immigrant's Wayward Journey' received honorary mention at The Los Angeles Book Festival and was also a First Place Category Winner at the Journey Awards 2014 (Chanticleer Reviews and Media, USA). She also received The International Reuel Prize for Poetry in 2017 and The International Reuel Prize for Translation in 2016 (for 'The Broken Home', her English translation of Nobel Laureate Rabindranath Tagore's novella). She has authored six books (memoir, poetry, fiction and translation) and co-edited four anthologies of poetry and fiction. This is her debut book of fiction.
