Rita Unger is a direct relative of the celebrated Austrian poet Adolf Unger, who was murdered in Auschwitz in the early years of the Second World War. Thankfully, his passion for poetry and his outstanding literary gift lives on and flourishes in the work of Rita Unger.
Although she has been writing for many years this is the first time that her work has been made public. The subjects of her poems are often dark and provocative, yet each one is brought to life with a haunting, lyrical beauty that only a lifetime of undulating love and emotion could inspire.
