In the far-flung future of a galaxy settled by a dispersed humanity, the Santhon family, kings of the backwater planet of Octocent, protected their home with the power of their telekinesis band until the headpiece was lost during a series of revolutions and counter-revolutions. Now a ruthless warlord claims the planet as his own and with the power of a headpiece of his own crushes any opposition. When it seems hope is lost, a university student discovers a hidden trail that just might lead to finding the lost Santhon telekinesis band and joins the fledgling and hopeless rebellion to seek it out - but can they find it in time to prevent the destruction of their homeland?
