Befreites Jerusalem

Torquato Tasso's epic poem tells the story of the First Crusade and the capture of Jerusalem by Christian forces. Written in the late 16th century, Befreites Jerusalem is considered one of the great works of Italian literature and has been widely translated into other languages.
