The Carbon Chronicles: Quest for Truth Beyond the Veil

For hundreds of years, humans ventured out into the galaxy in search of intelligent life only to be met by vacuum of lifeless space. Countless worlds are discovered, each as empty as the last. Mother Earth comes to be the sole home of life in the known universe. As the reality of a lifeless universe sinks in, religious zealots increase their monopoly on faith and power as the decades fade into centuries.

Cast down on LC3, a desolate uninhabited world, to serve five years at hard labor in a penal mining colony, Ross Alexander Bowman only wants to find a way to survive until he learns of the existence of alien artifacts and the possibility of non-Earth life. Sucked in by his double-dealing cellmate, Bowman soon finds himself caught in a web of intrigue where hereditary lords, secret societies and religious zealots vie for control of the universe.

Bowman becomes the unwitting savior when he accidentally stumbles onto a hidden world filled with a People and a Truth unknown to the groups who vie to control humanity's teaming masses. The deeper Bowman descends into the bowels of LC3, the deeper he probes the mysteries of this planet of the damned and the nearer he comes to his own destiny and that of the future course of humanity.
