In this book, sociologist Amélia Cohn analyzes, in a pioneering way, the letters received by President Lula during his first two terms in office (2003-2010). In these letters, written by citizens from different regions of the country, it is possible to perceive the effect of public policies on society and also analyze the most urgent demands, the political and bureaucratic challenges, and the way people saw and related to the president.
