Brother Ollie, the Tired Monk, wanders the world with his tonsured head, and flowing monk robes capturing poetic moments. He has gotten used to the stares, even when he is shooting hoops in front of the monastery. The duties of being a monk, a rare remnant of an ancient brotherhood, is quite exhausting. The tired monk rises everyday and cares for the novices, and his beloved Abbess. He'll dash away to write a poem, or play his guitar, but the monk duties must be performed.
The works are primarily Inspired by the beat writers Gary Snyder, Jack Kerouac, and the Zen poets of Japan. Tips from a few brother monks have helped him hone his craft.
