Om Count Lucanor

This man of royal blood was statesman, politician, and above all, warrior. He is, in fact, known as one of the most vigorous, turbulent, and dangerous barons of his time. Only during lulls between his great activities did he become author. He made writing his diversion, according to his own words, because he felt this to be more worthy of a gentleman than wasting his time at games.
