Cuadros de Costumbres

Gathered in this zine is the writing and artwork created by participants of DSTL Arts' Conchas y Café creative writing workshop series for adults. Through poetry and short fiction, drawings and photo composition, these workshops empower participants as the artists they are, helping them develop new skills in storytelling.
The theme for Conchas y Café Zine; Volume 3, Issue 4, is Origins. By exploring the origins of language, civilizations, cultures and customs, we ultimately explored human nature and our purpose. Gathered here is our origin stories, of both the cultural and personal kind. Gathered here is our purpose for living and spreading our collective human story.
