Around the fifteenth century, several Muslim rulers controlled regions in north, northwest and even central India. In the

Apart from Mewar, an orphaned Chhattrasal from Bundelkhand drew inspiration from Chatrapati Shivaji and played a pivotal role in the Mughal empire's downfall.
