As an artist myself, I have always observed art as a manifestation of human culture. Just as culture varies significantly from one society to the other with a little shift in geography, even in our own country, so does art in its different forms and uniqueness. Thus the three entities are deeply inter-linked to each other.
Through my sketches, I have tried to portray realistic flavors of a few sections of the society in different parts of India. My work will be successful only when it is capable to strike a chord with the emotional quotient of my readers.
Being a son of the soil to the ""Cultural Capital"" of India, Kolkata is woven around my soul. That is why my readers may find proportionately more anecdotes in and around the 'City of Joy'.
